Bourdain visits one of his favorite cities in Europe, Glasgow. He makes his first stop at the Old College Bar for a pint, learns knife defense techniques from instructor Mark Davies, and tests his physical endurance while stalking red stag with writer A.A. Gill in the Scottish Highlands. Along the way Bourdain indulges in some surprising Scottish fare including deep-fried haggis, roasted grouse with bread sauce, and fresh venison..

Mediocre, raw and ImmoralVery shallow coverage of places and food. This program neither captures an area, nor the food of that area. Some episodes just show 3-4 meals and what he was served. A lot of unnecessary filler material everywhere. Very mediocre content in my opinion. Apart from that, this program shows sadistic pleasure in killing innocent animals. Many episodes show animals being mercilessly dragged, cut, or even just plain shot with a gun. And during all that, the host of the show is clearly delighted and goes an extra mile to insult these poor animals. No coverage for vegetarians at all. Meat is pushed down your throat so as to say. The host repeatedly claims his love for meat and shows complete indifference to the fate of animals. At least have the decency of paying respect to whom you are killing instead of mocking them. That’s the least you could do..Score: 1/5
Basically incoherentI'm not sure how Bourdain has a show. He doesn't ask any inciteful questions. He doesn't even really tell a story. You're essentially paying to watch someone to get drunk and eat food. I could do this for free at any bar..Score: 2/5

Losing touch, with peopleI have watched every episode of your shows. (Approx 500.00 on iTunes) The season five, of parts unknown has a new "vibe" I don't like it- it's like you're giving up. I paid for every single episode you ever made on iTunes. I feel like I know your style well. I hope you can bring some of your old crew back if that is what changed. Or maybe new bosses are dictating new changes, but I loved you better before CNN it's not your style to try to be hip and you need to ask direct questions hard to ask ones. That's what we love about you.Score: 3/5
Skip to ScotlandUncle Tony, I love you like a brother, but this season starts off badly. Come on, man - who wants to see fat geriatric men in speedos on Miami Beach, or spend 1/2 of the Korea episode on video games and a repulsive stew of hot dogs and spam? A sad departure from the brilliance and importance of the earlier Mexico, Libya, and Iran episodes. Scotland was awesome, though - please keep more like that one coming..Score: 3/5
