A Great Intense ThrillerSpectre is a good and thrilling movie. Ignore the critics and audiences that give this a 1 star. It's an awesome movie because of its intense action sequences, cast performances were great, the tone of the movie was very dark and mysterious. Overall it's not better than Skyfall or Casino Royale but it's better than Quantum of Solace. Spectre is worth your money.

SpectreI honestly give this movie between 3 and a half stars and four. It is true that it's not the best James Bond but it stills has something to offer. Spectre continues with James Bond going out on his own to kill a man that M requested before she died. James must discover a secret organization and stop them from taking over. Spectre does have its fair share of fun fighting scenes but it can tend to be very confusing at times. Worst of the lot, and that's a shameSo much for the franchise reboot. Starting with Quantum of Solace, each of the three Daniel Craig films has been consistently worse than its predecessor, and Spectre is easily the worst of the lot. Rather than sticking to the grittier realism that made Casino Royale so great, Spectre is instead a return to the enemic plot, snarky dialogue, and groan-worthy campiness that made the Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan films so painful to watch. That being said, I really do like Daniel Craig's Bond; it's just so disappointing to see his talent wasted on a film that has more in common with the older, cheesier Bond films and the "Get Smart" TV-series and less with the new direction we thought MGM was headed..JibswivelScore: 1/5

Oddly boringSitting through the latest Bond flick was an odd experience: all the Bond tropes are here (big opener, check; fantastic lead actor, check; snappy repartee, check; a bit o' sleuthing, check; fancy car, hot "Bond-girl", bonkers chase-sequences, check check check), and yet it's boring. Nothing in the story inspired me to care for any of the characters, and nor did the plot explore any of the concerns and anxieties that affect the world today in a manner to make me want to cheer on the good guys.
I really do believe that the Bond Gang need to gather around the fire and decide on how they reckon Bond talks to its audience. It's like a grandpa who has seen his sons grow up and make their mark on the world but cannot retire gracefully and still feels the need to belabor his point. Bond fragmented: the hard-hitting spy stuff grew into Jason Bourne; the camp silly stuff into Austin Powers; the laddie misogyny into Kingsmen. He should have hung up his hat-n-gun sometime back in the 90s, or arguably after Skyfall. I guess the money tastes just too good …..Merlin BallScore: 1/5
