Roger Waters, co-founder and principal songwriter of Pink Floyd, fuses the epic and the personal in Roger Waters The Wall, a concert film that goes well beyond the stage. Based on the groundbreaking concept album, Roger Waters The Wall could be called a concept film: it' s a state-of-the-art show that dazzles the senses, combined with an intensely personal road trip that deals with the loss Roger has felt throughout his life due to war. On stage and now on film, Waters has channeled his convictions into his art and his music. With Roger Waters The Wall, Waters – together with his fellow musicians and his creative collaborators – brings audiences an exultant ride of a rock and roll concert, and delivers an unforgettable, deeply emotional experience.
A concert film that the former Pink Floyd singer-songwriter made on various tour dates between 2010 and 2013, when he was playing his former group's 1980 double-album in its entirety.

Endless River Custom GuitarsLet's face it, Water's was a good writer and concept man but this CD & DVD show Wares for what he really is a horrible bass player (always was) and at best a poor vocalist. He was always given too much credit when we all know that Gilmour and Wright carried Pink Floyd musically and vocally. The movie is a testement to Water's egotism and self impotantance. Boo hoo, so is father was killed in WWII when he was a child just like millions and millions of other children but he makes a living at it and the film is a pitiful attempt of trying to make the audience feel some kind of sympathy for his loss. Get over it like 10's of millions of other children around the world. Save your money. A must-see for fansOutstanding and enjoyable. I saw the live concerts several times in different cities, towards the beginning and end of the North American tour. As others have commented, you don’t get quite the full spectacle, and they made a few questionable choices about camera angles and cutaways. It does show essentially the entire concert, as it appeared on stage, with only a few sections where footage was not from the live show (“Young Lust” was the most noticeable). Every track from the album is performed. Plus there was one segue song towards the start that I did not see in the live concert. For others who saw the live concert, I can confirm that there was variety in the videos shown on the big wall screen. During this concert movie, including the opening and closing scenes, Roger Waters was on a quest to see the memorial of the Anzio crossing where his father was killed during WW-II. There are fewer than a dozen cutaways to this part of the movie, and none are jarring or disruptive. Some people might prefer just to see the movie, and others might question the coherency or relevancy of this added story. I thought it was just fine, though - it broke up the concert footage a bit, didn’t take too long, and taught a little history about WW-I (where his grandfather was killed) and WW-II. This is Roger Waters, showing a pure and accurate (and updated) concert to that shown at Earl’s Court and Long Island Coliseum in 1977, and in Berlin after the unification. Roger Waters The Wall was of the best live shows ever, in terms of stage & sound - if you can, try to imagine being in an arena with a 200-foot long screen with 60-foot puppets, pyrotechnics, and crashing a nearly full-size airplane into the stage. No film can capture the feeling of actually being there, but this one comes close. Be sure to play it loud!.Score: 5/5
The WallI will be honest at first I did not like this, also it's not a documentary, it's a concert film. However, then I saw the last half of the show and it was beautiful. Watching the faces of the people in the crowd as Comfortably Numb was being played. Man, that's what rock was all about. The feeling. And that was when I realized what Roger Waters was trying to do with this show that obviously meant so much to him. And then I no longer felt disappointed.Score: 5/5

Great Live Performance!I’ve seen Waters’ The Wall concert live 2x in Houston and was amazed by both shows! One of the best concerts I have attended!
