Amazing, stunning bio-film!I loved the two lead actors to begin with, but this just made me admire their prowess even more. Besides being an amazing story, the costumes, the scenery, cinematography, and everything else about this movie was heart breaking, overwhelming, beautiful and above all a love story for the ages. We all dream of finding someone who is our missing half and to be loved and cherished as these two amazing people do/did. Absolutely Beautiful Love StoryGerda, (Alicia Vikander,) a very courageous woman, Alicia gave an absolutely amazing performance! I am so glad she won an Oscar! She reminded me of my adopted Mother who when she found out I was afflicted, had unconditional love for me! Though Gerda's heart was breaking she still loved Lilli all through the surgery and even unto Lilli's death! This story needed to be told sooner but glad it finally is out now! Don't purchase this movie in HDI really liked he movie and the attention to making every frame perfection. I did not like that the entire film was shot through a filter which was very hard to watch. I didn't feel it added to the emotion or feeling. If anything it was annoying. The use of muted paint colors was sufficient to show the era. The extra footage shown at the end of The Danish Girl was shot very clearly and unfiltered. The waterways were so lovely and neutral in coloration so the heavy, hazy effect was unnecessary. Save your money and buy the SD. Better yet, rent it. Not one I need to own but it is now mine forever..Kini10Score: 2/5

Better Understanding of transgenderI wasn't sure what to expect. I was so glad I watched this movie.
The cinematography was stunning, as well as the acting. I really gained a better understanding of her journey and I'm happy about that.
