In "Point Break," a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes–led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). Worst movie I have ever seenI am a huge fan of the original movie and so was excited about the prospect of modernising such an amazing movie. This excitement was short-lived. This is hands down the worst movie I have ever seen. It is drastically inferior to the original in every possible way. The cast are so dreadful that scenes ported from the original are cringeworthy when you see the amateur-like attempt to replicate the mood/moment. Not the TitleI thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and one of the main reasons I believe it was received so poorly is because it has the title 'Point Break' - that's it. If this had of been a stand alone action movie, I think people would have seen it for what it actually was and not expecting it to be the original Point Break. With a recasting of the main character (wasn't too fond of Luke Bracey, but Edgar Ramirez was magnificent) and some tuning up on the script, I think this movie would've been extremely successful as a stand alone action movie. The plot is almost entirely different from the original, so it would've been easy to have the thing be a stand alone with some script changes. I'm sad a lot of people go into this expecting the original. So if you truly want to enjoy this movie, I recommend viewing it as something new and not trying to compare it to the original..Sparkles UnicornScore: 4/5

Would recommendI would recommend this movie even though there are 1 star ratings that's just people comparing it to the older movie, but the scenery is amazing and the heist scenes and other action scenes are very well done. Only a few things they could have added or changed in the movie which is adding more heisting scenes and less "party" scenes for a better movie experience, but overall great movie and is right now my favourite movie. Don't Miss The PointLet's be clear! If you are looking for a remake of the original, this is not it. This version has been done with heavy drama, philosophy, and much more detail to the back-end of the story. I liken it to the Al Pachino Classic "Heat". The movie has been lightened up with a combination of some of the most difficult stunts ever to be put on film. This version does not attempt to copycat the original. Rather, a fresh take on an old tale. To grasp the quality of this flick one must possess the ability to appreciate both drama and action. If this is not you then don't bother to rent.
