Alice (Mia Wasikowska) has spent the past few years following in her father’s footsteps and sailing the high seas. Upon her return to London, she comes across a magical looking glass and returns to the fantastical realm of Underland and her friends. There she discovers that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) has lost his Muchness, so the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) sends her on a quest to borrow the Chronosphere, a metallic globe inside the chamber of the Grand Clock that powers all time. Returning to the past, she embarks on a perilous race to save the Hatter before time runs out.

Great movieI think its really sad when people review this movie with negativity because they think the plot is bad. Some person even made a ridiculous comment about how finding dory was better because" shes something we care about" . Okay first of all that reviewer didn't even make sense. This movie is good because it has many points and lessons to take as valuable morals. So anyone reviewing it as a bad movie just doesn't like it because they cant sit and stare mindlessly and laugh through the whole thing. Not the book - but visually astoundingI would be considered a "Carrollian". An experienced reader of the original works as well as all of Martin Gardner's "Annotations". I love "The Hunting of the Snark" and its annotations too. This film is not the book. It is a fantastical time-travel movie only superficially related to Mr. Dodgson's original work. Still, this movie is a visual feast. If you have a high-end monitor, it is a beautiful thing to watch. The colors...things to behold. It's OKA lot of the characters are back which was great and of course a few new ones. Provides a glance to origins of the characters. I thought Johnny Depp's makeup was either a bit too much or he had put on a few pounds.

Terrible Hollywood "reimagined" garbageI didn't even bother to finish this film. Good point: special effects, Bad Points: trite story - reimagined for no reason and adds nothing, poor acting. This film is the same as almost all Hollywood films these days: special effects with a boring story and mediocre acting (at best). Not Horrible But Doing Too MuchExpected the movie to be horrible, but surprised it's passable. Acting is fairly good, but Depp was terrible and seemed bored looking for a large pay cheque. Storyline (3) is far too confusing and idiotic than necessary. Visually it remains wonderful and all the characters return, yet lacks the originality of the original. 8 year old LOVED itMy 8 year old loved this movie, though I'm not sure why.
Visually, it was stunning, as the preceding Disney live action films have been (Maleficent and Cinderella).
The storyline was odd, and hard to follow at times.

Po svojom návrate do Londýna objaví čarovné zrkadlo, ktoré jej umožní vrátiť sa do fantastickej Krajiny zázrakov. Tam opäť stretáva svojich priateľov, Bieleho králika, Absolema, kocúra a ďalších. Zistí však, že pomoc potrebuje uletený Klobučník. Prišiel totiž o svoju rodinu. A tak biela kráľovná Mirana vyšle Alicu získať Chronosféru, kovovú guľu v srdci Veľkých hodín, ktoré ovládajú všetok čas. Cestou do minulosti sa Alica stretáva so svojimi známymi i neznámymi v rôznych obdobiach jej života. Čaká ju nebezpečná cesta, počas ktorej musí zachrániť uleteného priateľa Klobučníka skôr, než vyprší všetok čas.
