For years, old Mr. Meacham has delighted local children with tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the Pacific Northwest woods. To his daughter Grace, a forest ranger, the stories are little more than tall tales…until she meets Pete, a mysterious 10-year-old with no family or home, who claims to live in the woods with a giant green dragon named Elliot. With the help of 11-year-old Natalie, whose father owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to learn where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon.
pete's dragon (2016) - david lowery synopsis will be updates..
This movie is a great film for the hole family. It moved me to tears and I was singing with joy. This is my all time favorite. Never would trade it for anything. Keep up the good work guys!
Great movie! Goes by quick it is so well done. The kids loved it and always ask to watch it.
Nice characters and even the dragon! And this is great!
It's a cute movie. Though i missed some of the hummer in the old Pete's dragon movie. Both are cute movies.
For (little) kids and looks very old fashioned. Normally I love children's movies... but that was terrible.
I love the actors in this movie but this is just truly a long drawn out movie.
This movie is so extremely good! I loved the different twists to the original story and the character development between Pete and Elliot. The original has always been one of my favorite movies and this version is definitely one of the greatest I've seen in a while. It had me in tears.
This film went beyond my expectations and was a great heartwarming movie filled with fun and some things we can all learn from. Superb!
What a wonderful retelling of one of my favorite Disney classics. I can't say a single negative thing about this movie! It's nothing like the original, in fact I'll go as far as to state that it is way better than the original! If you're looking to escape into a movie with heart, this is it!
The movie is really slow and dumbed down. Boring for teens and adults, just don't expect too much for a film which explained the poor box office numbers. Special effects are good when needed, acting is decent and the film has their expected happy endings for the kids. Rating is far too high and besides the limited target market for kids, there really is nothing special to the movie. Surprised they did include their famous song "Candle on the Water?" I would have rated lower, but for the little kiddies they will love this film.
BEST MOVIE IN HISTORY I WATCHED IT IN THEATRES AND I LOVED IT SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH I WATCHED IT 6 MORE TIMES 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This was a very good, entertaining, heart felt movie. Hey I'm very young 51 year old and I watched this with my mother! Well worth it!
This is a wonderful family movie. It was great.
Another typical Disney movie. My 4 year loves it, but again Disney has a happy happy ending. Not like Old Yeller where they see real life situations and learn from it. Robert Redford was miscast. He doesn't play an old man very well.
Kids will love it. Parents will have seen it before but that doesn't matter. Enjoyed the visuals and the 'happily ever after'. Both the kids I watched the movies with were smiling and liked it.
This is such a great movie! I watched this with my husband and our daughter who is 5, and loved every minute. This is the first movie she has become emotional watching. Great effects and storyline.
Young kids will most likely appreciate, but certainly not teenagers or adults that wants to see a "good kid's story" ! The effects are good though !
Complete and utter garbage.
I really liked this enjoyable for all ages would definitely watch this again .
Brilliant special effects, youl believe the dragon is real and so moving youl cry a bucket.
My kids loved this. It is a lovely movie
Of course there'll be those who compare the remake with the original (which I thoroughly enjoyed as a kid) and say it's no good. Far better to think of it as being inspired by the original, rather than a 'remake' - and on that basis I enjoyed it as much as the original. It's just a wonderful, feel-good movie the whole family can enjoy.
Beautiful story, delightfully presented. My 10yo twin boys thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my husband and I!
This was my favourite movie as a child! The 'remake' was not a true representation on the original film at all! This honestly doesn't even deserve one star.
