Oscar®-winning Best Actor Ray Milland, stars in The Big Clock, a smart and stylish film noir thriller about an innocent man wrongfully accused of murder. A hotshot crime magazine editor George Stroud (Milland), inadvertently becomes the subject of a murder investigation after spending an evening with his boss' (Charles Laughton) mistress. She ends up dead and he is being framed by the actual killer. Meanwhile, at the publishing office, Stroud's competent staff scurries for clues while he finds himself in a race against the clock to prove his innocence. It seems the prime suspect they are seeking matches an all-too-familiar description…his own! Known for its intriguing film noir cinematography and featuring beautiful costumes by Edith Head, this is one suspense classic you won't want to miss.
Stroud, a crime magazine's crusading editor has to post-pone a vacation with his wife, again, when a glamorous blonde is murdered and he is assigned by his publishing boss Janoth to find the killer. As the investigation proceeds to its conclusion, Stroud must try to disrupt his ordinarily brilliant investigative team as they increasingly build evidence (albeit wrong) that he is the killer.

Wow, great NOIR of the 40s!This was a very entertaining NOIR of the 40s. Top cast of actors, beautiful job by all, and a creative plot. Can't imagine not enjoying this movie..Score: 4/5
Classic Film Noir...Boy, they don't make 'em like this anymore. Classic mystery. All of the heavy's are here, Laughton, Milland, O'Sullivan, McCready and Laughton's wife, Elsa Lanchester (aka. The Bride of Frankenstein ) Edith Head's designs was everything and then some !!! Enjoy old movie buffs....Score: 5/5
Suspenseful noir classicRay Milland and the rest of the cast shine in this great noir movie from the late 1940s. Definitely worth seeing if you like the genre or thrillers in general. It was remade in the 1980s as a spy thriller set in the Pentagon, No Way Out, with Kevin Costner and Gene Hackman, along with a new twist at the end. Both movies are excellent..Score: 5/5
