Director Antoine Fuqua brings his modern vision to a classic story in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures’ and Columbia Pictures’ The Magnificent Seven. With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople, led by Emma Cullen (Haley Bennett), employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

Looking to mine for gold, greedy industrialist Bartholomew Bogue seizes control of the Old West town of Rose Creek. With their lives in jeopardy, Emma Cullen and other desperate residents turn to bounty hunter Sam Chisolm for help. Chisolm recruits an eclectic group of gunslingers to take on Bogue and his ruthless henchmen. With a deadly showdown on the horizon, the seven mercenaries soon find themselves fighting for more than just money once the bullets start to fly.

Note even worth 99 cent rentalOne of the worst movies I have ever watched. Couldn't hold a candle to the original. Even though I didn't expect it to match the original M7 it was just down right poor. I enjoyed it!Not comparing this movie to anything else and going in with no expectations what so ever; I enjoyed the movie. To me the violence was realistic (as one can imagine the untamed west to be) but not so over the top you are covering your eyes. There is light humor, although I will say a time or two it was poorly placed. But seriously, if you just want a Western for simple entertainment this is a classic story..AMJ33Score: 4/5

Extremely Slow Setup and Chaotic EndingHow could they get this wrong? The setup pace was extremely slow you can barely stay awake. Scattered character development that you really have little connection. Middle scene was excellent and then loses the momentum. The ending was simply chaotic and mindless. Slovenčina Mestečko Rose Creek neustále ohrozuje banda lotrov bezohľadného priemyselníka Bartholomewa Bogueho, ktorí sa v honbe za ziskom nezastavia pred ničím. Zúfalí obyvatelia sa rozhodnú, pod vedením Emmy Cullenovej, požiadať o pomoc sedem mužov, pre ktorých, rovnako ako pre Bogueho, žiadne zákony neplatia. Nesúrodá skupina pištoľníkov, hazardných hráčov a nájomných lovcov sa rozhodne nevinných ľudí ochrániť a zastaviť Bogueho rokovania.
