Humanity has been all but destroyed by a fungal disease that eradicates free will and turns its victims into flesh eating "hungries." Only a small group of children seem immune to its effects. At an army base in rural England, this group of unique children are being studied, subjected to cruel experiments. When the base falls, one little girl escapes and must discover what she is, and ultimately decide both her own future and that of the human race.

Did not enjoyMY first exposure was the book, which was detailed and rich with subplots and story development. Sadly the movie failed to touch on many of these leaving the audience as with cheesy visuals and a B rate monster film that is neither scary or interesting. Good movie, horrible soundWhy can't movies figure out how to balance the sound correctly? The dialogue was so soft compared to the action. Had to turn it up almost all the way just to hear what the characters were saying, then they'd shoot a gun and blow my ears off. So many movies are this way, but this was the worst..G.P.K.Score: 4/5

The Last of Us Rip OffIt's a good zombie movie. There is a ton they don't explain and the ending is all kinds of wacked, but the effects are top notch and the acting is pretty good. If you ever played the video game The Last of Us, they essentially stole the whole zombie storie line. Fungus, spores, even the jerky motion of the zombies to the kid who is immune, check check check.
I like said, it is good and worth a watch, but yeah...someone in Hollywood needs to do some creative writing without stealing so much..PhaedruszammScore: 4/5
Great movieI love this movie and like all good zombie movies it feels like it’s about more then zombies. A great zombie movie is creepy, scary and profound. Not what the title may have you think.The title leads you to believe that the girl will be special and key to the survival of mankind. Well that couldnt be farther from the mark. Indeed you sympathize with the character for most of the show until its twist ending that leaves you filled with hate for her instead. Užkrėtimo kol kas išvengę žmonės glaudžiasi izoliuotose bazėse. Vienoje jų, įsikūrusioje Anglijos kaime, laikoma keliolika ypatingų vaikų.
