What the heckI don't know what the reviewers were doing while the movie was on but they were not watching the same movie as the rest of us were. That movie was great. I went in not expecting much but was amazed and terrified mostly terrified. I would recommend this movie over and over. And not to spoil anything but.... the thing witrh the glove made you realize how good the movie was about to get..Score: 5/5
GOODPicked this up while it was on sale and gave it a whirl. I love space movies and creature features so of course I had to jump on it. It’s definitely not perfect and there are some questionable choices made by the crew, but I can forgive it. It’s fun and thrilling and well-shot. But lordt, that ending was kind of a mess lol. I still recommend. Definitely a 4 out of 5 type of film..Score: 4/5

Trash!If I could give less than one star I would. This was a waste of time and that is being nice about it. This movie is seriously about some of the smartest people on the planet acting like complete morons? Being selfish, not following standard rules or procedures. Umm hello?!? These people are astronauts.... their entire careers training to follow orders and to be selfless. Always sacrificing for their crew, humanity, and the greater good. How is a movie about everyone being selfish and making the worst decisions possible any good? Don’t water your money or time on this movie!.Score: 1/5

Could be better seemed rushedThis movie just felt rushed. The acting was ok, CGI was actually kinda good. Overall it was ok. Not a movie I want to watch a 2nd time unless it’s on. It’s not 5 star worthy obviously. It feels like a typical alien movie except without big aliens, rushed, if you can’t find something you enjoy to watch one day. Give this a chance..Score: 3/5

Senseless. Characterless. Lifeless.First, it's the same predictable story that Hollywood never seems to get tired of telling and retelling. Absolutely nothing original. You could've guessed the whole plot 30 mins into the movie. With 6 humans and 1 alien in space, the story offers no distinguishable characters. The whole thing sounds like a monologue of a less than mediocre daydreamer who mistakes nonsense for imagination, has zero concept of subtlety and delivers a rehash of recycled tales. Oh and what an utter waste of pretty faces!!!.Score: 1/5

At least it was only $0.99The good: One of my favourite actors was killed early on, sparing him the torment of the remainder of the movie. There was a glimmer of hope that the movie might be a bit sciency, but that faded two minutes in. Predictable twist at end woke me up in time for credits. Rental was cheaper than a can of pop. The bad: Reading a can of pop has more entertainment value than the movie. It might have had some redeeming value, had it ended in such a way as to eliminate any threat of a sequel..Score: 1/5
Good movie, can we get a sequel?Apparently, Rotten Tomatos has been unkind, unfairly. This movie is actually quite good, and it is a bit more inovative than most horror/sci-fi movies. What's up with the film description by the way? They never allude to it killing everything on Mars at any point in the plot, but remark about how it stayed in statis after Mars had died, only. They get a soil sample with microbes and it goes from there, so really nothing to back this up whatsoever. Also, the one who is killed early on is listed under as a main actor, but people who have multiple times more screen than him don't get a iTunes/poster credit? I guess the marketing guys had a stroke during the work on this. No wonder Cinema Sins is a thing..Score: 4/5

Fun entertaining movieI really liked Life, I know it's essentially Alien for 2017 but I wasn't alive in 1979, so when I ended up watching Alien much later it was a bit dated naturally and didn't have the same effect. Life however has the creepiest alien on film I've ever seen, that along with moments of good intensity and mystery make it a very entertaining sci-fi movie..Score: 4/5
