Steve Ford is a private detective in Venice Beach, Calif., who's good with the ladies, bad with the punches and wild about his dog Buddy. When local thugs steal Buddy, Ford turns to Spyder, their devious leader, and forges an unlikely alliance. With help from his best friend, Steve pulls out the big guns to retrieve Spyder's stolen cash and cocaine and save Buddy.

Sunday morning entertainmentThis is a good movie to watch on your lazy days when you don't put too much thought into anything. No it's not an Oscar contender but it's witty and features the great Bruce Willis and John Goodman. Pitiful...Just pitiful...For once, I agree with the review from Rotten Tomatoes. In fact, an 18% approval rating is way more than I would give it.
This one, IMHO, has no socially redeeming qualities, no artistically redeeming qualities, and no emotionally redeeming qualities. It *was* a little bit funny - in a juvenile kind of way.

What is wrong with a bunch of successful actors just having some fun together? And if the end result is entertaining, great! Nothing even remotely Oscar-worthy, a plot with so many holes it is virtually Quantum, but this is just pure dumb fun! Yep, I got it as a 99 cent movie, & it gave my Wife & I some much-needed laughs on a tough Day. A Film doesn't always have to fix the Planet or have a deep message. Didn't Get To Watch It AllI watched about the first 30 mins and fell asleep when 2 hours later I woke the movie had frozen I guess due to an error. I closed it down and the next evening when I got home and logged in to iTunes it said THIS and one other movie rental had timed out. But YET I have 3 others still rented that I have seen 2 or more times because the rental on those lasted 29 days from the original rental date.
No fault of the movie but I DO blame iTUNES !

Fun Romp With Willis in Venice....More PleaseI dont get all the other bad reviews. This was fun fun and hip film. Willis was at his best along with the rest of the cast.
