Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Very impressive remixGenerally I find "re-boots / remixes" of such legendary, and oft ingrained stories as the Legend of King Arthur, to be hard to embrace at best. The drastic changes made in The Hobbit and how it left me liking nothing more than the action comes to mind. This version of the story was so well conceived that it fooled even the critics. Indeed, I have begun to maintain that anything with significant depth or possessing an ethical message will be condemned by the critics. Listening to "that lot" will cause you to miss a rather engaging story. Admittedly, it was fast paced and it switched about, back and forth in time, much like a real life book. Perhaps that too caused much confusion for the people tasked to critique it. All said, I give it a strong 4 stars. It wasn't an award winner, but it certainly was compelling. It provided a story of a man's struggle to face his past and accept the need to protect what was important to him. The reasonable progression of the character development held me in place and overshadowed the special affects. That alone should encourage anyone who appreciates tales of fantasy and sorcery to watch this film..RaemannScore: 4/5

Astonishingly badI like GR movies & I generally enjoy watching many blockbuster movies. Sadly, this one had such a terrible plot, such bad acting (especially from the 2 lead characters) that i couldnt get any entertainment from it. The critics fail again! Why listen to them?This is a typical Guy Ritchie movie. The movie is really well done & I thought was pretty entertaining. Some neat special effects & some good ol' Guy Ritchie humour. It's not your typical King Arthur story. Watch the show with an open mind. I don't know why they bother having critics because they are usually so out of touch & are never right about anything. The movies they rate low usually end up being pretty well while the movies they respond negatively to usually end up being good.
