Wonder Woman Description

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.

A colorful spin on Charles Moulton's comic about the Amazon goddess battling evil during World War II and later, in more recent times, against new enemies. The change came after the series jumped from ABC to CBS, with the heroine joining a covert military agency. Wonder Woman began as two TV-movies (the first in 1974 with Cathy Lee Crosby) and several specials before finding a regular prime-time home in late 1976. Debra Winger appeared occasionally as Drusilla, Wonder Woman's kid sister.

Wonder Woman Movie Reviews

  • Wonder Woman

    Love this movie
  • Dc kicks back

    B.E.R is my life
Awesome movie good plot and good setting awesome actors and Wonder Woman I have to admit is pretty
  • Absolute Garbage! Overrated.

This movie was absolute GARBAGE! There goes $5 dollars I regret spending.
  • Well done.

    He Who Is
1950''sWhile one miscalculation was made (overnight from Amazon island to Londond???) was made, the rest was gold. This was one of the very few productions screenplayed from a classic 1950's/60's comics to the screen. When liberties are lessoned, success is expected.
  • Best Movie of the Year!

Gal Gadot is truly inspirational for woman everywhere and this movie has broken barriers and laid to rest the myth that women can’t be true action stars! Its action packed excitement from start to finish and this movie writes a new chapter to the book of feminism. Woman can be every bit as fierce as men and more but with a touch of grace, humility, and beauty of the soul!
  • Perfection

I don’t want to say about this movie except that it’s amazing, awesome, perfections and the only thing I will think about for the best few months. Watch it. You have to.
  • Blown away!

This is a masterpiece! The story line, effects, and Gal Gadot is incredible! I had doubts about comic book movies, and this changed my mind. I can’t wait for Justice League just to see Wonder Woman! You did beautifully Patty! Wonder Woman II?
  • Surprised

I didn't go into this movie expecting to like it much, much less like it more than any other superhero movie. I am not a genre fanboy, though I have enjoyed some SH films, e.g., Captain America, Batman Begins, and now Wonder Woman. This movie readdresses a basic idea about modern humanity--despite all that is terrible, there is a lot of good and it is worth fighting for. Furthermore, this conclusion feels earned through the actions of the characters in response to events, rather than just delivered as a simple (and it is simple) platitude. Gadot and Pine are a joy to watch. I loved the setting and hope that with the inevitable sequal that they decide to revisit past events. There's a lot of richness to be had from events in the first half of the 20th century and I find the setting less distracting than yet one more terrorist-bomb-plot, ripped-from-the-headlines, let's-destroy-what-we're-trying-to-save story. That last scenario in particular feels way too relevant to today to find much enjoyment. Anyway, great movie!
  • Excellent!

    William California Sky
Nailed it! The only movie out of the DC league that literally nails it!
  • Wonder Woman 2017

    White Dragon3
I enjoyed this movie. My husband says " it was okay, one of those comic book movies." It is violent so I do not recommend for children under fifteen years old.
  • Nothing Wonderful

Too long, boring plot, waste of time, characters weren’t interesting . Could have been 99.99% better.
  • Good

    Really like it
  • Awesome

    Great movie!
  • Really bad

To sum it up shortly - Wonder Woman was like two people initially started to film two different movies and then decided to randomly merge them together. Storyline made no sense and if it wasn't for the acting I would have turned it off after 10 minutes. Possibly one of the worst movies I've seen in a while.

This was more than words...I...love it!!!
  • Don’t waste your time.

The whole movie I was waiting for it to get better, it didn’t. Sorry, just not good. The best thing about it is wonder woman’s outfit.
  • She’s Thor & Captain America in one!

Very well done. Can’t wait to see more Wonder Women movies.
  • Not so wonderful

I’m amazed at the 5 star reviews actually! The acting for the lead characters was done very well and have no issue there, but not for supporting roles and the dialog is could have been much better. The special effects were good on some areas but very poorly done in most which is surprising given today’s standards. The final scene was lame at best. Probably OK for the younger audience.
  • Amazing, captivating and chilling

Wonder woman, a powerful story of peace and love. Gadot’s role was marvelous through the entire movie. Her facial expressions were compelling, her tone was powerful. This is beyond acting- she was truly living her character. Her performance captivated you - and you were transported through her eyes. This movie was gave me chills and smiles! The director did a phenomenal job! The casting couldn’t have been more perfect! I’m looking forward to unlimited sequels, starting Gadot of course. Thank you for making an amazing role model achievable.
