My favorite Jackie Chan Movie! It’s well made. Good plot.
I loved this movie. Great story that’s relevant to the times. While the movie starts with a bang, I wouldn’t say it’s action packed because there are slow points, but the story really draws you in and makes you feel for Jackie Chan’s character. They show what’s happening now and what has happened in the past to help you feel the pain he has gone through in his life. And while Pierce Brosnan does kind of play the bad guy in a way, he does it well. And his Irish brogue was great. This a definite watch for anyone who likes an emotionally-charged action movie.
Jackie Chan is a legend!!!! Another Classic!
Great movie to watch if you’re bored. I don’t really like Piece Brosnan’s performance though, his accent is a bit off. Other than that though, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Jackie is still the man!!!
Nice to see Jackie Chan do a more serious movie with a good plot. Pierce Brosnan was excellent as well. Definitely worth your time.
I thought it was great! Suspense and intrigue without in-your-face gore or continual foul language. Jackie Chan is awesome as always! The good guy/hero. He’s fun to watch and he’s a really good actor, too. Some predictable moments but Chan is always convincing. I hope he does more movies.
To start off, I rarely ever write reviews. I'm a HUGE Jackie Chan movie and literally have every single one of his movies in my Blu-ray/DVD collection. But this movie was a huge disappointment. I wasn't expecting many action in the movie as he's old now, but even the story line is bad. And Jackie Chan is pretty bad at "drama" acting - some of the scenes where he's trying to appear distraught for instance just looks un-natural - so he should've stuck to a comedic storyline like his previous movies. Everything in the storyline was super PREDICTABLE and there were no twists/surprises/mystery-element at all like previous Jackie Chan movies. If the story line was atleast entertaining, I would've given this movie atleast a 4 stars.
During the first fight sequence, Jackie Chan and another stuntman do a double flip while falling down several flights of stairs that was incredible! The other fight scenes were believable for the story and this was a well-done film with good acting, a spot-on cast, and several fantastic stunts, special FX explosions and more. A good one to watch/rent/buy.
So-so actors engage in phone conversations and board meetings punctuated by karate chops. Jackie Chan's face looks horrible. Movie shot in 10 days, quick paycheck for all involved. Movie makes little use of London location, just a few scene stetting helicopter flyovers and then a suburban street scene.
