All The Money In The World follows the kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and the desperate attempt by his devoted mother Gail (Michelle Williams) to convince his billionaire grandfather (Christopher Plummer) to pay the ransom. When Getty Sr. refuses, Gail attempts to sway him as her son’s captors become increasingly volatile and brutal. With her son’s life in the balance, Gail and Getty’s advisor (Mark Wahlberg) become unlikely allies in the race against time that ultimately reveals the true and lasting value of love over money.

Great film 👍Really liked it. I’m old enough to remember when young Getty was kidnapped, so I feel the movie is quite accurate per news reports of the time. I really enjoyed seeing the financial drama that went on as much of this was not in the news back then. Wonderful performances by Christopher Plummer & Michelle Williams. All around good cast. Great story, and true AFAIKI read "How to be rich" when I was a kid AND watched this saga live on TV. It's an epic tale worthy of Shakespeare's retelling. This was a repsectable effort. Michelle Williams is a fine, and fine, actress. Christopher Plummer is great as usual. Marky Mark doesn't ruin it. The boy Plummer is pretty convincing. Supporting cast is great. For All The Money It Cost, It's Just OkayLong - I kept checking my watch.. Kind of unbelievable - could J. Paul Getty really be so mean and almost everyone in Italy be so awful? Michelle Williams has a weird accent - a little British (but her character is American) or sort of posh (but she suppossedly has no money.) For all the world's money it took to make this movie and pay the cast, I expected more..SK1003Score: 3/5
