A young girl, Stephanie is abandoned by her parents and forced to survive on her own. When her parents return, they are surprised to find her alive after they discover dark, supernatural forces are wreaking havoc, with Stephanie at the center of the turmoil. From director Akiva Goldsman (writer of A Beautiful Mind) and Blumhouse Productions, this supernatural horror film stars Frank Grillo (The Purge: Anarchy), Anna Torv (“Fringe”), and Shree Crooks (“American Horror Story”).
After a mysterious global crisis, a young girl is left alone to hide from a malevolent power that stalks her home. Her parents eventually return and the struggle begins to save their daughter.

Interest Premise; Execution Needed WorkYou really have no idea what you are going to watch. You have to get 30 minutes into the movie before you are fed breadcrumbs related to the plot. The last 30 minutes is the payoff. It is worth watching once. Just be patient - it takes a while to get going. I would recommend waiting for the rental..Score: 3/5
Keeps you on wondering, for the most part.Great cast. The movie does a great job of making you care about the character “Stephanie”. So I was on edge for most of the movie. I think they could have tweaked the story a bit to make it a little less over the top. Will watch it again..Score: 4/5

This made me cryThe first part of this movie is surprisingly very sad and I wasn’t expecting that. I grew up lonely and watching Stephanie live by herself was heart breaking, and it hit close to home for me. The horror aspects are also very well done, suspense, mystery, the twist. Slow Burn but EXCELLENTIt seems that people who need instant gratification and in your face action (no attention span) have a problem with this movie. I thought it was very compelling and well done.
