Very interesting docs series. Sad of what that agency did
This was a touching and well made documentary. Highly recommended!
What an incredible documentary! Well done. My heart goes out to these separated sibs.
Well if I knew the ending I might didnt watch it. Everything comes from our parents the way we have been raised and from our genes. All I can say is life is fragile so do our brains.
Deep and real
The story of these three identical brothers who were separated at birth, and adopted out to different families, is a panoramic view of what happens when those in power and authority erase empathy from their dealings with those who are vulnerable and in their care, and choose to elevate the pursuit of scientific and experimental research about the feelings and well-being of their subjects. I would like to think that no internal review board today would approve or condone this kind of study.
Entertaining and shocking
Here’s the point they fail to express in a logical way: Take children, hopefully multiple children, from schizophrenic mothers (who, incidentally, are prone to give-up kids) to see if those children manifest madness irrespective of the ‘new’ or ‘different’ environmental factors in homes with parents free from mental illness. They believe the father is neutralized or isolated with multiple children when they know the mother’s profile. Abandonment is the core issue for these duplicate kids. Mom didn’t give me up, she actually gave me away. Psych issues have been correlated within families for 60 years - nothing new there. They have the great privilege to publicly complain about it and then monetize it with a movie.
I have already watched this movie twice - within a week. Fascinating, gripping and thought-provoking. Best movie I have seen in years.
Took an extremely interesting story and found a way to make it a bore. Would recommend to anybody who is lookin gfor something to fall asleep to as it will do so instantly. Simply wretched. Sure as hell not worth the six bucks I paid to rent. Starting a petition to remove this movie from iTunes as it was a waste of an hour and a half of my life. As I watched this movie I brainstormed several activities more exciting, engaging and interesting than this movie: counting blades of grass, digging my own grave, watching an hour and a half of static and typing the letter "K" 46 million times. During the movie i clipped my fingernails and toenails twice, and made 6 trips to the bathroom to pass the time. As I'm writing this I realize that the one star means "I hate this" which really doesn't do my feelings any justice. The film hurts me in a way I didn't know was possible. The amount of sheer anger and contempt I have for this film is only paralleled by the amount of disappointment I have in myself for falling for the enticing movie description and trailer. Alas, we all make mistakes, and all we can do is not make said mistakes twice. Additionally, we can discourage others from following in our ill-fated footsteps. Do not watch this movie, it will take years off of your life. Sincerely, BrazilianMovieReviewer17
