What a great movie I love it
Just enjoy it. No need to over analyze. A special story about the bond we share with our animals. Beautiful cinematography and a great movie to get lost in with a good message. Strength and Perseverance will carry one through the most challenging journeys.
As much as I love wolves and stories like this, the movie was a horrible rip off of a book series called 'The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness' where a boy, is left on his own after his father dies, befriends a wolf cub and go on a journey together. These books have been out for years and would have made a 10x better movie than this.
It’s such a great movie I loved it so much and I love dogs I have two of my own. It’s so sweet and heartwarming and perfect!!!🥰🥰 I so recommend it!
This movie doesn’t seem to ever “get up and go” anywhere. Cinematography is trying to save a weak script.
I Don’t like to read my movies and I didn’t realize this was subtitled. Meh
Watching Alpha for the first time I had a lot of questions about the plots authenticity/ realism and I thought the movie was a little slow moving. I did immediately find the cinematography and aesthetic as beautiful. I felt compelled to watch it again a week later. The second time I watched this film I didn’t care if it was realistic. It’s a movie. It was creative. It was visually stunning. I found i really enjoyed the plot my second time around and I grabbed on better to the vibe of the movie so I didn’t find it as slow. I ended up loving the story regardless of any plots holes or alleged historical inaccuracy. I would recommend trying to watch it once! I am sure I will watch it a few more times in the future and enjoy it more every time.
It’s ok once for a $.99 rental don’t buy.
Fyrefest? It’s really a nightmare... to watch.
No Spanish, no buy the movie. So many languages but not Spanish. Why so much hate against others human being???
Come on this is ridicilous! first no way you last after dropping in through the ice, and everytime he finds shelter he leaves to walk through a storm more then once where the hell you gettting food i really thought this would be better maybe the director should try breaking through ice then walking through storms no common sense this movie ok for a buck last 25 mintues it killed me to watch
I found this movie to be heartwarming and inspirational. This is perfect to watch with the family. It keeps you interested the whole movie. Well made!. If i had to find a flaw, it would be that it wasn't long enough. I recommend watching this movie for a family night movie rental. :)
Not usually my type of movie, but the movie pulled me in.
This is an excellent movie to watch with the family. Really enjoyed it!
Wooden acting and a basic and tedious plot line. And if you know how tribes really function, very unrealistic.
Thought they did a very good job representing a time when we weren’t dominant species... great cinematography. Decent story. Historically in the right ballpark.
This was a depressing movie, kept waiting for it to be more happy. I guess I like the Disney-esque movies more. We saw it in the theatre and it was depressing. It is not a Disney-type movie if you are thinking of having a child under the age of 12 watch it.
Finally a movie that makes you sit on the edge of your seat, it is heart warming tale of a friendship brought on by need and a desire to survive. Well done and well worth the money. I saw it at the theater and I am considering buying it for my colleciton.
My friends mom took me and him to this movie we didn't expect it to be so great and my friend responded after with "The best movie I have seen with captions."
Great how we can be kept enthralled with only 2 characters for so long - a boy and a wolf. Enjoyed it
Great movie a little slow in the Beginning but over all great movie 8 out of 10 from me.
The movie is fantastic it is only let down by some average quality CGI that makes it hard Dire as the same wolf throughout the movie. Solid story held up well by unknown actors. The script is probably only 4 pages long but it is still highly enjoyable to watch.
Loved this movie. Loved the friendship between the boy and the dog. Nice clean movie. Good storyline. Never give up!
Will be watching again. 🤓👍
I started watching this with no knowledge of the film other than what I had seen in the trailer, that it appeared to be about a prehistoric young man's journey with a wolf. This film was excellent. Kodi Smit-McPhee will be an actor to watch over the next decade, his acting in this is excellent.
Well done, moviemaker. Made an old man cry. In a good way!!! :-)
Stunning cinematography and amazing visuals Very touching and amazing to see how we used to be near the bottom of the food chain back in da day. Worth every cent!
I watched it on my Singapore airlines flight and I was hooked from the beginning. Such a beautiful simple story, so much feeling. Easy to follow and makes you feel good.
A truly beautiful film indeed. A story of a paleolithic man and animal. Great to watch and very touching. It also makes one think about what life was really like for humans 20,000 years ago. It also makes you think about what human life will be like in 20,000 years from now if indeed there is any human life at all. But I do thinkthat this planet earth, if it still exists by then, will be uninhabitable by for any humans that are still around. Loved the film.
