Jennifer Lopez stars as Maya, a 40-year-old woman struggling with frustrations from unfulfilled dreams. Until, that is, she gets the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as book smarts, and that it is never too late for a Second Act.
second act (2018) - peter segal synopsis will be updates..
So tired of trying to watch a movie and it’s filled with political one liners. I just want to zone out for a an hr or two and watch a decent movie.
Jenny from the block is taking the worst roles these days. Always enforcing stereotypes and they seem to always cast her love interest as a white man. Can Jlo do a movie where she doesn’t have to be a Latina maid or retail worker ?? The big revelation that her daughter was Vanessa Hudgens was terrible. C’mom Jlo
I love this movie so much, it’s a romantic comedy, Leah Remini makes it hilarious especially because her and jlo are best friends in real life.
For light date film, this is an affable enough affair. The plot would have felt manipulative if it ever engaged me, which it thankfully never did. It's not as bad as you might think, assuming you go in with exceedingly low expectations. Ms. Lopez made the most of a pretty weak concept and script, and the surrounding cast was inconsistent (a few held their own, but overall they let us down). But if you want to curl up with someone and watch a movie that doesn't tax you, this might just fit the bill.
It’s sad to see all the one stars. Personally, I thought this movie was great. You will laugh and cry 😊
So it was not the best movie for JLo but there was some funny part. I think I enjoyed the twist better than the comedy. Wait for a 99 cent rental.
This movie got me. I love it. I was really left with the thought that the only thing stopping me is me. And that others’ college education doesn’t diminish my experience. I cried on that. Beautiful self love story.
Great movie !
This movie has a really sweet meaning to it. Don’t be to hard on it. The over message is a good one, plus along the way you get a few laughs from it. Really sweet, fun movie to watch. I enjoyed it
