I can’t believe how bad this move is! I felt it was out of sequence and meaningless.
I thought the content was important, but the movie was crap.
This movie, to its credit, doesn't skip 1 single scandal during the 2001-2009 Administration. This is also to its detriment. Touching on every single scandal from the Iraq War intelligence to the Duck Hunting incident where Cheney accidentally shoots a politican turns this movie from historical retelling to a hitjob. 2 examples: They cover the phony intel that lead up to the Iraq War, this was a major scandal and I still feel this warrants a war crimes investigation into the Bush White House. Thousands of Americans died because of a lie that millions of Americans bought into. They also cover the Scooty Libby incident, where the name of an undercover CIA agent was leaked, supposedly by Libby. This is a nothing burger, and of course the movie decides not to even mention that Libby wasn't found guilty of such a thing. He was indicted and convicted on process crimes during the turmoil of the investigation itself. No loss of life involved in the leak. This is a perfect example, I think, of how the movie makers couldnt edit the movie properly in order to make a tight movie. They even straw man the estate tax debate, meanwhile this tax is not even slightly popular, even among those of us without large inheritences. The movie is a far fringe hitjob on an easily criticisable adminastration. They just couldn't help themselves, and ruined what would have been a great telling of American political history.
What a let down this movie is! Do not order if you want a general insight into his life. This is really one parties view on this Vice Presidencies time in office, it’s very left.
can't imagine how they get to make movies like this -- of course CB is great but the stupidest screenplay ever ! -- not even worth renting !
This is one of my 2018 favorite film. Christian Bale is always amazing and the rest of the cast makes this movie watchable and educational!
Simple awesome. It’s a must watch.
I LOVE biopics but this was painful. Even with Christian Bale as big as a whale - I wasn’t impressed. Steve Carell who is normally a draw is flat and phones in every scene. It feels like he took the role after loosing a bet. Long story short: it’s bad
Disturbing and amusing, a must see movie!
