Just Because You Don’t Get It, Doesn’t Mean It’s BadThis isn’t a movie. This is the new Bible. This is a battle cry in the face of the apocalypse. Rome is burning, and the Moondog is fiddling. Most people will see this as a movie about a stoner who stumbles around South Florida, but it’s not about Moondog, it’s about America. It’s about the endless neon wasteland, the prepackaged and researched experiences, the millions of screens and images distracting us from the reality that the American Dream has died, and the 1% are not waving from their yachts.
This isn’t a movie. It is fantastic art. It will change your life, or it won’t, or you won’t get it.
