Real superheroes get better with age. Tom Berenger and Beau Bridges lead this delightful comedy centered around a group of senior superheroes spending their twilight years in a nursing home in Ireland. When Ray (Berenger) suspects foul play at the nursing home, he reassembles his old team for one last mission, proving that saving the world never gets old.

Squandered GreatnessDon't get me wrong, this movie is funny. It's got a pretty original vantage point on a popular–maybe even overdone–topic. There are hundreds of new superhero movies every year, and even the concept of middle-aged-parent superheroes (The Incredibles for starters) have been played with. But no one really thinks of when the super become super senile... And frankly, elderly. It's funny. Crude, clever & campy in all the right ways. HOWEVER, this movie is a wasted opportunity. It's too long in order to get relatively close to creating enough backstory & highlight crucial aspects of certain relationships. Because of this, there's an irksome pacing problem. When it gets to the truly rising action, it feels rushed. Haphazard, even. So I guess long review short, THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN HBO/SHO SERIES. WHO SCREWED THAT UP???!.Score: 4/5
