One word HORRIBLE!Cats was a horrible film iam glad that critics, fans of cats beat this movie to shreads but instead of making a fun christmas muscial Tom Hooper screwed this movie up and i could tell just by the trailers which got bad respondes towards the visual effects that were placed in the cat characters. You know i loved Tom Hooper's other musical Les Miserables a musical beyond creativity, good-feel and makes you think something. But you watch Cats and your like wow that was the worst thing ever made it's like calling Batman & Robin the worst movie ever made i mean that suppose to bad! But Cats nah i got extremely bored and the movie didn't have a sour feel to Les Miserables both of these films have their problems but at leasts Les Miz tried to be a masterpiece and it did. But Cats was thrilly unentertaining and i laughed of how bad this film was if you want to watch a good musical movie just watch (Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story, Sweeney Todd, La La Land, Les Miserables and Rocketman) I will recommed those musicals not this this no fun..Score: 1/5
Why??This was such a huge mistake. This movie was horrid!! Not even Taylor Swift could of saved this. This movie was created solely on nostalgia and actors who are already famous. The CGI was not terrible, but I hope you all have fun lying awake every night thinking of cats with human faces. Also, most of the “good reviews” on here are fake. I love the moveHi so my dad rented the movie and I love music so I think music is a good thing in a show and I’m glad you added it and I love the show so much that we watched about maybe 20 times in two days thank you for making the show I love it so much.🤩🤩and I love cats I love them so much that if I die I will ether come bake and a cat of a fox I love them both and these move just touched me so hard I love it. Laugh — Cry — CheerThis is a beautiful production of one of the most successful musicals ever. Addition of some dialogue and one or two songs provides a clearer plot line than the original, but a traditional story is not the purpose of this production. This is NOT “The Aristocats”. There have been complaints about incomplete superimposing of fur CGI, but I believe this produces a separation that lets us see cats as both surreal and mystical, and also not so different to us. Immerse yourself in this world, and you will laugh, cry, and cheer. Exceptional actors and performers bring a superb level of dance, performance, and song. In addition to icons like Judy Dench and Ian McKellen, and the vocal talents of Jennifer Hudson and Taylor Swift, there are multiple “triple threats” from musical theatre that movie audiences may not be as familiar with, notably Steven McRae as Skimbleshanks, Robbie Fairchild as Munkustrap, and of course James Corden as Bustopher Jones. And I can’t close without mentioning the gorgeous performance by Francesca Hayward as Victoria, who ties the story together and channels the beauty and sensuality of “cat” like nothing I have ever seen..Score: 5/5

DisappointingIt could have been so much better. The music is ok (Jennifer Hudson is acceptable as Grizz) and they didn’t muck too much up. The direction was just awful. Too many cuts at the wrong times; it’s almost like the director has never directed a musical and has no idea how to. Casting could have been better too... Rebel and Idris aren’t ideal in their roles but James and Taylor are ok. Makes me want to rewatch the 1998 show to wash away the ick..Score: 2/5
