- Ok, I guess...4 star

The movie is great, but I minus for romance. That it

- Amazing5 star

The movie was awesome and funny

- Horrible1 star

What a waste of time

- Best movie ever5 star

I can only imagine how wealthy DreamWorks is and how many people are struggling to get a job now due to COVID-19, but to see this movie rental price of $20 is just unacceptable. It’s beyond ridiculous. I’ve seen better movies with better reviews than this one with lower price for both rentals & purchases. How dare you DreamWorks, take advantage and especially in these times of this ongoing epidemic of COVID-19

- Me4 star

It was great!

- Letters5 star

I hope you guys liked it I’m the director (jk)

- 4.75 star

Ok if your were mad about the cost you also have to think because of COVID it was released from the theaters early so the movie company had to get that money back. It is totally worth the cost. Great one to watch with the family.

- Pandering BS.1 star

This movie is pc garbage. Poppy wants peace and to unite everyone, this morphs into “your ancestors were bad and ruined everything, we can’t forget history......blah, blah, blah.” Also, an adoptee runs off to find his “real” family.

- Movie is awesome!5 star

Really love the music and the movie in general. Really awesome you should totally watch it! 100% great movie

- Trolls5 star

You morons it is 5.99 to rent. Read this carefully.

- 🤢🤢1 star

- Good5 star

I really liked it if you’re unsure I would rent the movie like I did I was surprised how good it was I didn’t really like the first one but this one was amazing it was fresh and has a good message to remind us that we are all different in someway or another

- Rental price5 star

They did the right thing by putting a credit on your account towards this movie if you were one of the lunatics who paid $20 for a rental. Great job! And movie was great.

- Rotten tomatoes rate nice2 star

- It’s good4 star

Worth it but kinda not the movie was fun to watch but on the other nite don’t do it but it’s a goble worming so

- Waste of time and money2 star

Sadly the second trolls movie was not great I was so exited to watch it but it was a big letdown do not recommend ☹️

- Nope1 star

A lot of the songs where not good and the only singer that spoke to me was Kelly Clarkson. The movie it’s self was not very good. Like that seen about a pinky promise is just to much. The first movie was better than this. Sense is is 6 bucks to rent even though it 1 to rent and 5 bucks to buy. If there is a third it should be much better than this so please make the next one better pretty please.

- Very good5 star

My kids love all the singing

- Good movie!!!4 star

A good movie! Really fun and cool! Good for everyone!

- This is not for RENT, it is buyable5 star

This movie should not get complaints about 20$ rent, unless you can’t read. The movie is 19.99 for PURCHASE of Ownership, in other words, your buying it. So unless it was for rent before I did this, which I don’t think it was, means that no one should be complaining about the price for RENT, since your buying it!😒

- My kids liked it5 star

I watched this movie with my kids this weekend and they loved it. They were gleefully singing along with the songs, and they were playing with their trolls toys. It was a nice touch to follow up the first one! I was satisfied with this movie, I would definitely recommend it.

- One star1 star

20 dollar rental model is cancer. One star.

Not worth $20, but fun for kids

- Trailer is the movie2 star

Man, when I saw the trailer I thought this is going to be the funniest movie in 2020, but only to realize that the trailer was the funniest part of the movie. Felt dumb spending $20 on this movie. Hard pass on this.

- Man what happened????1 star

First off let me just say what happened??? I had wrote a bad review on this cause of da price and it was 5 paragraphs then I saw that it said 13.99 and I was like oh my goodness they changed it came in to check on it today and it’s back to $19.99 what happened???? - Kind a good movie5 star

I think you just need to have a little more action and more sadness in the first one was more sad than this one. so it’s 0K

- 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍5 star

This movie may cost 20$ but it is worth it!

- Finally available to purchase!5 star

It’s a great sequel to the first one! So glad we finally can own it?

- Way too expensive!!1 star

I wanted to buy this, but it was ridiculously expensive. At the theaters, you’re not only paying for the movies, you’re paying for seating, food, and drinks. That’s not the same as paying 20 bucks to watch it at home on your own device. Not only that but you’re paying $20 to watch two hour movie with only 48 hours to spend on it. Definitely am going to wait for Blu-ray to come out.

- Ooooooof1 star

- Hmmmmm IDK5 star

Yes it’s quite expensive I really wish I guys would lower it down like perhaps five dollars to rent $10 to buy just it’s really expensive please change the price DreamWorks

- Great! Especially music5 star

Really fun family movie! Some scenes in the first Trolls movie were a little scary for our kids and we had to fast forward. No issues with this one, just generally fun and great music as well. Nice diversity message too.

- Good movie and I appreciate the credit5 star

It’s nice they’re giving us who rented it a credit. My daughter loves this movie. I don’t know it’s quite on the level as the first one, but it’s entertaining.

- Love the movie!!!5 star

Wow I don’t understand why people are complaining about $20 rental!!! If you were to go watch a newly released movie at a theater you’d pay way more than $20. I’d pay $20 to rent new released movies. I totally understand.... Anyways!!! My daughter loves the movie and she’d see it multiple times. We are definitely going to buy this movie!

Love the movie 20$/48hrs 5peoples watching it and then watched it another 5times in the 48hrs TOTALLY WORTH IT! Plus once again loved the movie 🤓🖤

BamBambiggalo - To expensive for rental1 star

19.99 is to expensive for 48hrs, I understand all the people like Daddyfatstacks, who say that your saving money, they don’t realize that most are unemployed and have limited income and an uncertain future, not just poor movie stars/studios. To me it’s a last grab to maintain ticket sales and a greedy one at that. Entertainment is meant for relieving stress, that’s why sports and entertainment was created in all advanced civilization. Given the choice between a meal today and 48hrs of use for a non physical copy, most will choose to eat.

Kumayasha - When please4 star

It's a good movie I would like to be able to buy it but the only option is rental.

Daddyfatstacks7 - Theatres are closed!!4 star

They’re putting these movies out that should b released in theatres but are unable to do so! They are losing millions. Quit crying. It’s $20 🤦🏻‍♂️ and movies cost me about $80 for 3 of us at a theatre. $20 for a movie night with the family at home would actually b ok and go to the $ store and buy snacks! Now you’re saving $ lol you’re welcome!

meaghmcc - Tooo expensive to rent1 star

My son is really wanting to watch this but I can’t afford $20 to rent it. That’s more of a special treat to a movie theatre price. So disappointing

i like soaup - Think4 star

Ok so here is the thing how much would you pay to Watch movies in theatres if you say anything under 20$ which is most movies then you have the right to complain but would you watch a movie in theatres if it cost 30$ probably not but if you would then would you complain Also if you say you can’t buy can you buy in theatres no however when you purchase it at your house /rent it we have been acoustomed to be able to buy at your house so just think about what you want

Stupid arrow - Rental for $20..... and then?1 star

Ok. I get these money grubbing studios and celebrities want to get paid their insane salaries.... and whatever. $20 for the rental instead of the theatre, fine. But now that I’ve paid for the damn thing.... how about I own a digital copy?

shelleyfish21 - Enjoyable!4 star

I rented this for $19.99 because it was NOT released in theatres and let’s be honest, going to watch it in a theatre would have probably cost double, if not more with additional people and snacks. AND you get the rental for a 48 hr period, so if you have a child, like I do, who likes to continuously watch the same thing over and over, it’s well worth it. The more I watched it, the more I enjoyed it.

zalanbalfour - Price1 star

$19.99 to rent? You must be joking.

Catherine legault - Love the troll but not the price3 star

The serie is good but it’s to expensive for a rent movie. Gonna wait until we can buy it at least I could watch it forever until I got bored of it. I think I’m gonna pass this time.

atwhat - Rent1 star

When will we able to buy this? Costing me $$$ every 48 hrs for my granddaughter.

Leese81 - RIDICULOUS5 star

MAKE PARENTS SHELL OUT $19.99 for f-n rental!! Must be nice to be so privileged to afford 2 day rental for a kid movie. Greedy blood suckers.

LucasBoyle - It’s good5 star

I like the music.

Tired of Covid-19 - Dance, sing, enjoy!5 star

This is a GREAT movie for kids. The music is so fun!

MattM18 - Good sequel4 star

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Definitely not as great as the first’s music and charm, but worth a watch! Those complaining about the price need to get over it and stop skewing ratings. I will support films who are taking massive financial blows in order to allow us some escapism during a pandemic...

canadajack1979 - Loved it!5 star

Great story with a great message that’s needed in a tough time. Bravo Dreamworks for taking a leap on first release direct to home. Thanks Apple and Dreamworks for bringing a dance party into my home!

Sillyman22 - Pricing4 star

All the people saying that $19.99 is a scam are being ridiculous. If you went to the theatre to watch this movie you’d be spending well over that to watch it and you would not be owning it. The movie company is trying this out seeing if this works before actually release. They usually make the majority of their money from the theatre. It’s not Apple making the price lmao. It’s the same price everywhere. Don’t like it don’t watch it till you can own it. Simple

PRIMEcntrl - Ridiculous Price4 star

Movie was GREAT, but $20 just for a rental is crazy. I hope when this movie is available for purchase all rentals get a discount on it. That would definitely improve a lot of everyone’s negativity towards Apple right now.

TheRealMark - Thanks for the release5 star

The whole family loved it. Great movie night during these strange times. I don’t understand why so many people complaining about the $19.99 rental. You do realize it’s an early theatrical release in the comfort of our own homes for a fraction of what it would cost to see it in the theatre. Don’t spoil future releases like this. Enjoy! Stay safe!

northernSkylights - Scam? Rip-off? No. Just a new option.5 star

Some are commenting as though we’re entitled to a regular “buy” option, from day one. Reality check: April 10 was the scheduled theatrical release date. No theatres though... The movie could have been held back for a later release date (as was done with some movies). Instead, the film company decided on this path: a higher rental for now (as we’ve seen with some other recent releases). Nobody is being taken advantage of. It’s our choice, just like when theatres were open: - watch now - rent or buy (after theatrical period) - streaming or TV subscription (after initial rent/buy period) - don’t watch The buy price will come out eventually. In the meantime, if you choose not to rent this one for $20, there’s plenty of other movies with the usual buy and rent pricing, or streaming. (FWIW, our household will likely wait on this particular movie, even though I like the new option)

Heat157 - Fun movie for the family5 star

For all people complaining about the 19.99 rental get over cost a family of 4 over 50.00 just to see the movie in theatres never mind the the other 50.00 your spending on concessions

ctuffy123 - Better than number 1!5 star

We rented this for our 2 year old who loves Trolls and we were supposed to go see Trolls live but it got cancelled due to COViD-19. My daughter loved it but I think husband and I enjoyed it more than she did! We were laughing and singing along to almost all the songs. Fantastic! Will be buying when comes out on blu-ray

Manning2072 - Fun one time watch.3 star

Was fun watching with the family, my kids loved it. Was not to bad of a movie.

VeroBBG83 - Bon film4 star

SYS FinancialWelness - Great Movie!5 star

Such a great way for us all to view it! Can’t wait for it to come out to buy

lou 0987654321 - Trolls1 star

Can’t even play it after I bought it...frickin scam!

Maeghanm - Beautifully created, crap story2 star

My daughter who has watched trolls and trolls holiday 17,000,000 times was so excited to watch this so I caved and rented it... let me tell you she voluntarily went up to bed and told me she doesn’t like this one. Visually it’s stunning, and there are some humorous moments; but overall I and my family did not enjoy this one.

4438Birchcres - Price1 star

Not impressed we are being taken advantage of during this virus.i was actually looking forward to watching this morbid, but not anymore I would rather stream this for free then pay 19.99 to rent it. Everywhere else is offering good deals accept iTunes? Not sure why iTunes can’t get on board with being decent and lowering there prices.

Jab08 - Trolls2 star

Extremely frustrated after paying $19.99 to rent Trolls that the movie continues to freeze every 5-8 mins. So disappointed Apple!!!!

Calvillohokage - Way too much for rent.5 star

I expected a higher price but for Buying. I know this whole situation about the virus stopped the Cinema revenues but hey, welcome to the club of people who have to deal with it and not pass the bill to us.

max74111 - film4 star

possible de l'écouter en francais?

sweetness.69 - Not happy1 star

Hmmm why would a kids movie be 19.99 to rent?? What’s going on people don’t have this kind of money these days.. you can buy the movie soon for 19.99 This is unheard of just crazy I’m so not impressed at all...

ricky753 - why...?1 star

$19.99 for a rent? we need the option to buy so people can enjoy movies at home and watch whenever we want. but this... this sucks.

proddm - Scam1 star

Nice way to take advantage of people during Covid 19....20$ rental, no thanks!

Robyn666!!! - Kiddo loves it5 star

A good value to rent for $19.99 considering I would have paid over $50 to take my family to see it at the theatre and we get to watch it in our home on our own time. Can’t wait for it to be available to buy as my kid really liked it.

Boudgie - No buy option1 star

Not renting for $19.99, should have a buy option for like $24.99 or $29.99 and I will purchase. Will not pay $19.99 to just rent and then a next $20+ to buy when available. 👎👎👎. Will purchase and give 5 stars when that change happens... Maybe not 5 stars because of this money grab

moniyak79 - Groovy movie.5 star

I’m 41 and I’ve seen all the troll movies. They are super fun and they allow you to get into the groove of the music. Fun For the whole family. Definitely a movie I would recommend.

PWT1604 - Did I miss something4 star

To take a family of four to the movies with all the concessions is costly. If it’s a fine in theatre you’ll spend over $100 and you get to watch the movie for exactly what the runtime is. If during this pandemic studios release rentals for $20 and allow you to watch it over and over for 48 hours if you choose try not to complain. If you don’t want to spend $20 on that title don’t spend but don’t make yourself look unreasonable by bashing the movie you didn’t even rent. Especially when you throw that type of money at the theatre all day long.

allhailtheprinceofdisney - Not as good as the first one1 star

Wasn’t a very good movie

De3tiny - Kids liked most of it.4 star

But they did not like the parts that were real life action styled. Just seemed like bad placement.

covid4u - All you complaining about $20 rentals are pathetic5 star

How much do you spend going to the movies with a family? More than $20 that’s for sure. Everyone that wrote a review about the cost of $20 for a rental are the Karen’s of the world who complain about wearing masks in public. Get over yourselves and don’t knock the review of a movie because you’re too poor to spend $20 on a 48 hour rental but not too poor to spend over $100 for a one time watching at a movie theater. You guys are what makes our society so dysfunctional because you complain about the dumbest things

iSis*NaMiNe - Such A great Movie!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating5 star

The rating of a movie should be about the movie!!! My kids love the troll franchise and this movie is so cute, funny, and is just really great DreamWorks did an awesome job on this one all in all it deserves a five star rating it was nice and comforting being safe in the comfort of ones own home watching a movie that actually lifts your spirits in these scary times $20 is nothing for that kind of peace for mind this movie just doesn’t deserve a low rating if anything it was still cheaper than going to the theater anyhow and soon it will be available for purchase and when it is I will be purchasing straight away ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating All The Way!!

dj yeet - When1 star

When this this going to come out on iTunes I wanted to come outside and complain about it

Captawesome1 - Was worth the rental and buying!5 star

A small perk would have been if you rented it and wanted to purchase later to get like a small credit towards maybe another rental or purchase on iTunes. With that said... $20 was so worth a family night at home to rent and being able to pause when needed (our daughter is 3). The reviews should not reflect if you rented it and that experience, the review is about the quality of the film. My daughter LOVES Trolls. We have the first one, the holiday special, the cartoons— and this was no different. Enjoyable for parents as well with songs we know and aren’t obnoxious to hear others sing since they chose talented individuals for the voice roles. We enjoyed it as a family and while renting I think my daughter binged it until then last hour was up. Was worth the rental to us for her to enjoy it and since she is 3.... that can be a toss up of going to a theater and how often would she get excited and loud and keep the attention. It was nice to feel like we got a new movie during a pandemic and perhaps this creates the new normal of how to watch movies. It’s not the same as on the big screen but a third of the cost to go to the theater and being able to watch it more than once not because we felt we needed to “get our money’s worth” but because it was really enjoyable! Awaiting its release to buy now!😍😍😍😍😍 - Umm boys1 star

Dont have babies!!!

Animalsman0087 - Good4 star

I like it but I don’t love it

SpongebobFan#245,867,371 - Why the complaints?5 star

Okay yes, I get that $20 is very expensive for just a movie rental, but it’s honestly not too bad for families. If anything, having a $20 rental is about paying as much to see the movie in the theater with your kids. So if anything, we should be thanking Universal and DreamWorks for using their film to make the most out of a difficult situation. As for the movie itself, the message of getting along despite our differences is a very powerful message for kids. Considering all the #BlackLivesMatter and LGBTQ movements happening right now, I’d say that it’s more important than ever. Other than that, the animation looks just as good, if not better than the first movie, with so much color you’d swear you’re probably taking something. Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake still have some great chemistry together, there’s jokes that anyone can appreciate, and the rock Trolls were all very fun to watch. Justin also knocked it out of the park with the film’s soundtrack. The covers were all very solid and the original songs sounded amazing. It really felt like watching the most diverse concert ever from the comfort of the living room couch, and it just leaves you in a great mood. All in all, I’d highly recommended this to families of all shapes and sizes, and if any parents are sick of dealing with heating Into the Unknown on repeat, give it a go just to take a break for a little bit.

Maddie Gamer YT - It’s very nice and good5 star

I like it because my daughter learns the types of music and trolls is a nice way of introducing them

annoyingorange823 - We can’t buy it?3 star

Why is it only for renting?

ash12#animationnerd #:) - It was good:)4 star

I saw some parts of this movie and it was good :)

LucidDreamer613 - How long to purchase?5 star

Seems too much for only 48 hour rental when purchase to download will be about $19.99. With AMC headed to bankruptcy hope that the way we rent /view new releases gets adjusted. Otherwise 5 stars for voice actors and promise of a good distraction (& story/music) in these crazy times we are living in.

up there🌸🌺 - The misunderstanding5 star

The parents or anyone reviewing this movie saying it’s expensive just to rent it’s for a reason. I’m maybe not one curator or creator of the movie but I’m allowed to guess because of what I heard from videos. In this pandemic it’s very hard for actors to get money, not only in this pandemic though. Many voice actors don’t get payed as much as they should be credited for. Due to the fact they needed so many actors they made the price more so they could pay every actor. (I of course know I could be wrong and the price went down a tiny bit but hopefully this helps)

SarahGrant08 - Auto Tune issues and the second film is more detailed than the first film2 star

I used to be obsessed with Trolls now I don’t like it as much as I did when I was younger because too much glitter and Auto Tuned stuff l would get silly thoughts from it but I did like the K-POP Trolls 🇰🇷 and I kind of liked the Techno Trolls part.

shadoweanger - Give them a chance5 star

They probably was not even going to be for rent right now and how they are still letting us rent it I think that’s cool I have not yet watched it but I know it’s gonna be worth it So I say give it a chance how knows it might turn out to be a bad movie then so what but I think it’s gonna be one of the best movies and you guys that reads this I hope you the same and oh my god give it a break

fvkvvb - .....3 star

Love the movie just don’t like the price🙁

Tiffany A Reviews - Movie equivalent to $25 roll of toilet paper1 star

Dreamworks should be ashamed, the actors in this should have stood against this as well. During this pandemic, companies across America showed their true colors. What companies do during the hard times have lasting affects on consumers. I’ll probably always have a bad taste in my mouth over the cost of this movie just to rent. And they were the ONLY company doing it. From all the money they made from the original Trolls, I’m sure they didn’t need to price gouge all the parents at home with littles who are either furloughed worried about money, laid off or working remotely with lots of extra responsibilities. Shame on you!

We're in the middle of a pandemic, with much of the population suddenly unemployed and struggling, and you decide to capitalize on our captivity by charging $20 to RENT a children's movie?!? That's disgusting, and I will now go out of my way to avoid supporting your company ever again.

19.99 to rent ?? Then 2 months later 14.99 still to rent. Nope, this was just stupid. Scooby released with a 19.99 buy but these greedy fellows just couldn’t be reasonable. I’ll never purchase this from you.

Djklass - Garbage movie, Garbage price1 star

I get we are in a pandemic but don’t price gouge families who are already struggling financially. This makes no sense Apple

alyssaxmufasa - Why1 star

Carternelson - What don’t y’all understand!?5 star

Kids(Mom I want to go watch this). Mom grabs kids watches it finds out its good later buys it for them. Price $35 at the movies and $20 in the store. Total spending $55 dollars. Realizing I’m in a world of retards on food stamps and spoiled brats....... hopeless. Don’t rent if your broke. Wait and wait and wait like others. Let your kids deal without cause you don’t understand business. It blows my mind how crazy idiotic some people are. Grow up cry babies you can’t pay attention in class no wonder you don’t get this. Pandemic 😆 bunch of 🤡🤡🤡

TGIF2019 - Fun for the whole family.5 star

At first, I thought wow 20$ is a lot. Then I realized this isn’t even showing in the theatre and this is the cost whether you watch it once or six times in the 48 hours you have (once you play it the first time). It also doesn’t matter if it is one or ten people watching it. I have a family of four and I invited my friends which become a family of 13. Let’s say everyone costed 8$ that would be 103$ plus the gobs of snacks everyone buys. This is incredibly cheap and THOUGHTFUL of companies to do especially for the kiddos who are stuck home. Now the point of a review is NOT about COST. I just though I would throw in my two sense and give some perspective. The movie itself met all of my expectations. It was silly, fun, kept my kids entertained, and we all laughed and cried with the movie (okay maybe I was the only one who cried). However, my kids are empathetic and felt the emotion of the movie. When characters are made well they are easy to relate to and empathize with. Well done DreamWorks ! Another one for my collection when I can buy it.

😍😚 I love it - Kate White ❤️😍😇5 star

20 dollars to rent it?

THE BIG ZAN - 6.5-6.74 star

This movies is better than the first one. But I must say, this is an once only opportunity. Renting it for $20 to see it three-five times (depending on how much you loved it) with snacks and soda adding up to just $10 more dollars, equaling $30 dollars for your first time watching it, vs spending (with a family of four) $7 per ticket to equals $28, all four each get a medium popcorn and a large soft drink which all falls down to $65. And also the day you get there could add an extra $5. Also going to the gas station could bring it down to more 25 dollars. That’s about 90 dollars just to see it once. Prefer the cheaper opinion just this time. About the movie, I don’t like how they adapted the screenplay to make pop mad (it is not my favourite, classical is) or changed the villain, but this movie left something that was unneeded. Basically, this is a creative experience becasue it has Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake and Anna Kenicik. So this rounds to a 6.768259 to a 7.382029282

Danielle Schaum - Kids loved it5 star

I thought it was better than the first movie.

SuperWife14 - Not renting for $201 star

I checked every app service and wants 20 for renting this movie not work it my son been asking ever since it came out early to watch

panda sick - Ok2 star

The movie was good but the ending, uh it was the same as the first movie. All the trolls lose clot and are sad and then music comes in and solves the problem. This movie theme was like the last one. Someone wants something so Poppy goes in with hugs and happiness and they realize there mistake.

Jonathan J Manzano - Way to expensive1 star

DreamWorks is absolutely high if they think I’d pay $20 for a rental. 🤡🥴

Good Island - Kids really enjoyed the movie5 star

20$ is not bad for a rental when going to the movies for a family of four can is 45$ for tickets. It was a special treat for the kids and they watched the movie about 3 times in two days.

Joseph0801 - Wow:\1 star

$20 is way too much why couldn’t they just wait when the pandemic is over and because of that AMC won’t accept their movies anymore and as I said $20 is way too especially if kids wants to see the movie more than twice they took advantage.
