It was a true-life lesson in corruption. Dr. Frank Tassone was a smooth, charismatic Superintendent whose leadership guided Roslyn High School to the highest levels of education. He also happened to be part of an $11 million embezzling scheme that rocked the upscale Long Island town. Hugh Jackman stars as Tassone with Allison Janney as his business manager and colleague in crime as they coordinated the biggest public-school embezzlement in American history--which would be uncovered by a tenacious young reporter with the high-school newspaper. Co-starring Ray Romano and Geraldine Viswanathan. Directed by Cory Finley; written by Mike Makowsky who was a student at Roslyn during the scandal; based on the New York magazine article "The Bad Superintendent" by Robert Kolker.

Two children, Ignacio and Enrique, know love, the movies and fear in a religious school at the beginning of the 1960s. Father Manolo, director of the school and its professor of literature, is witness to and part of these discoveries. Deutsch Filmemacher Enrique Goded sucht Inspiration für sein nächstes Projekt, als er unerwarteten Besuch bekommt. Ein junger Mann steht vor seiner Tür und stellt sich als Ignacio vor. Jener Ignacio, mit dem Enrique einst auf dem katholischen Internat der Salesianer eine tiefe Freundschaft verband. Aber dann musste Ignacio die Schule verlassen und die Wege der Freunde trennten sich. Mittlerweile hat er den Namen Ángel angenommen und arbeitet als Schauspieler. Und er hat Enrique eine Geschichte mitgebracht, seine eigene Lebensgeschichte, die er von seinem ehemaligen besten Freund verfilmen lassen will. Ángel selbst möchte die Hauptrolle in der Produktion übernehmen. Zunächst ist Enrique begeistert von der Idee, doch die anschließende Recherche für seinen neuen Film gerät immer mehr zur kriminalistischen Wahrheitssuche, reißt alte Wunden auf und bringt schreckliche Ereignisse aus der Vergangenheit ans Tageslicht.

Nederlands Begin jaren '60 ontdekken twee jongens, Ignacio en Enrique, de liefde, films en angst op een Christelijke school. Český Madrid 1980. Úspěšný režisér Enrique Serrano už dlouho marně hledá námět, který by ho zaujal, když k němu náhle vpadne neohlášená návštěva. Enrique hned nepozná svého někdejšího spolužáka Ignacia, jenž ho přišel požádat o roli, a snaží se ho zbavit, přestože mu připomene minulost. Po jeho odchodu se ale začte do rukopisu novely, který mu Ignacio nechal, a začnou v něm ožívat vzpomínky. V 60. letech se jako chlapci setkali v jezuitské koleji, kde spolu objevovali film, ale také lásku, sex a strach. Svědkem i hlavním aktérem jejich probuzení byl tehdy otec Manolo, ředitel ústavu a profesor literatury, zosobňující dvojtvářnost náboženských institucí této doby. Příběh, jehož autorem je Ignacio, zaujme Enriqua natolik, že po někdejším intimním příteli, s nímž se pak setkal znovu jen jednou v 70. letech, začne pátrat. Je mu jasné, že objevil námět, na který čekal, a je odhodlán natočit podle něj film. Netuší ale, k jakým odhalením ho pátrání po bývalém příteli dovede.
Polski W filmie nakładają się na siebie trzy, pełne urazy, wizyty. Każda z nich tworzy historię, zawsze w formie trójkąta. Pierwsza to wizyta w przeszłości - dwoje dzieci poznaje przyjaźń, kino i strach w katolickiej szkole na początku lat 60. Świadkiem tych odkryć, a zarazem ich częścią, jest ksiądz, uczący w szkole literatury. Trzy postacie spotykają się jeszcze dwa razy - pod koniec lat 70. i w roku 1980. Dzieją się wtedy straszne rzeczy.
