Tyler returns from a six year prison sentence for a surprise reunion with his former college friends to discover that they've all veered off course under the pressure of millennial culture. Weighed down by the combination of college debt, hefty living costs, and the dawn of social media, this generation is overworked, underpaid, and quite simply: stuck. Tyler has also been stuck: stuck in prison. To give his closest friends a chance to fulfill their dreams, Tyler “took the fall” for a college party that got too out of hand. The bigger surprise to Tyler, however, is how distant the group has grown and how much each individual has changed. Over the course of a tense dinner party, Tyler tries to come to terms with their constant complaining, sense of entitlement, and downright angst as he can’t believe how far off-course they’ve all veered under societal pressure. Being imprisoned in your mind and literally being in prison might not be as far from one another as we think, or are we simply trained to take our freedom for granted, our own willpower and ability to make conscious decisions for granted? This isn't your every day Millennial fairy tale.

The movie we all need!So funny and relatable. A must watch for any movie fan..Score: 5/5

Very RelatableAfter seeing this movie at Charlotte film festival I was really taken away at how relatable this movie was. Going through college and all the parties and other things that you experience really shows you this type of thing can happen to anyone and really change your life. It really makes you think about how you would handle a situation like this and how your friends would treat you or people that you though were your “friends”. A really well written and directed movie and can’t wait for it to fully be released on April 9th!.Score: 5/5

Taking The FallI had the opportunity to see it in LA; in a world broken by the older generation it inspires younger people and reminds us that we still have unlimited potential as long as you have a dream and passion, similar to the writer’s journey..Score: 5/5

Put in the WorkExcellent debut film for both the writer and director, and well acted all around. The film captures the pressures of a generation told to follow their dreams only to find themselves buried under the real life weight of debt, rising housing costs, and a lack of meaningful work. Although the ultimate message is to follow your dreams anyway, it doesn’t send that message in a cheesy or utopian fashion. Instead, it grapples with the dueling pressures of passion and paying bills, providing perspective of true hardships, and challenging us all to put in the work. Although this is a Millennial story, the film will resonate for anyone who has ever felt trapped in the day to day grind. Highly recommend..Score: 5/5
