The scariest slasher I’ve seen yet.This movie is without a doubt truly demented and disturbing. I’m not a fan of gore but I love when a movie can scare me because not many do with the exception of the Exorcist. This is the creepiest slasher I’ve ever seen. I almost feel bad rating it so high because it’s so demented. The villain truly feels relentlessly evil. In the movie the Exorcist , the demon in that feels that way too. In order for a villain to be truly terrifying it has to feel like it doesn’t have limits of what it’s potentially capable of. I think the creator of Art the clown understands this. Watching this clown made me nervous, because you don’t know what his next move is going to be. Other then of course you assume he’s going to kill. But he’s sneakier and has a more deviant nature than 80s horror icon Freddy Krueger. Without saying a word Art the clown is more menacing than any other horror movie slasher villain I’ve seen. The only one it that might truly give it a run for it’s money is like I said before the demonic entity that possesses Regan in the exorcist. I don’t know if anything can top that villain. I’m pretty sure Art the clown is a demon clown. It isn’t specified in this movie where he comes from or why he’s there. But for The 1st movie that may have been what made it so creepy. I’m shameful to admit I want to see the sequel coming soon next month. But I’m actually scared and nervous to watch it. If it’s anything like this one it’s going to keep me on my toes. This movie is an hour and twenty minutes of terror mayhem. The sequel is suppose to be almost 2 1/2 hours long! Don’t know if that will work, but this movie ups the anti of the slasher genre and it takes risks by being so bold. Bold isn’t always a good thing but the writer isn’t afraid of taking risks, having the sequel be twice as long is taking a risk for a slasher, but if the story is rich it might pay off. I have to respect the writer for not selling the rights to his character he created, apparently they wanted to make the villain less intense, glad he stuck to his guns it makes me think the second film will be a surprise shocker like this one. And from what I’ve heard it doesn’t hold back and supposedly puts the intensity into high gear, as if it wasn’t already? The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was because like I said I’m not a fan of gore, but if a movie can scare me the way this one did, I have to give credit where credit is due. I feel like this movie could still be truly scary without seeing so much of the brutality of the kills that Art does. The fact he has to be so bold and gruesome in his killings is sort of a cop out to me. That’s my personal opinion, to me it would make him classically scary if we didn’t see so much of his horrendous kills, his presence is menacing enough without it. To me it would set it apart instead of trying to be part of a mold that was started a long time ago that kind of started with the movie Halloween 1978. But I don’t see that changing I’m sure these movies will only get worse with the blood splatter, so I have to accept it for what it is. If you want to watch something scary this is it. But be warned it is disturbing and goes too far with some of the kills which dumbs it down a little for me, but ultimately terrifier is terrifying..Score: 4/5

Insane HORRORThis movie gives the B movie vibe in the trailer but it is not. One of the BEST horror slasher gory films if not the best. I’ve never see a horror film with the level of killing exposure this movies goes to. Must watch if you are into gory horror..Score: 5/5
GrossSkin crawlingly gross with some brutal gore, but it’s also a fun straight forward sleazy slasher about a killer clown who murders people in darkly humorous ways. Not for the faint of heart, but if you can handle it, it’s way better than a lot of of slasher garbage out there. Definitely worth a watch for slasher fans..Score: 4/5
Everything wrong with horror these days…It’s very clear the director/writer has a few screws loose. This movie is sick, and the sequel is even worse. The problem with this franchise overall is that it’s sooooo amateur. The only way this director will be able to top himself with each sequel is to show an even more grotesque murder, of which I’m sure, will be an attractive woman. Not bad but…Not a fan of the gore some parts were a bit too much for me but that’s just personal preference otherwise it wasn’t bad at all a bit suspenseful and comedic.Score: 4/5
