Shake, shake, shake it up camera!I work in film let me start with that.
The camera work is absolute garbage. The over shaking adds nothing to the scene in fact it takes away from it. It’s unbearable to watch. Especially in 24 FPS… like seriously what amateurs. I could have shot a better picture on an iPhone 5S.

I think this movie is a good direction for G.I. Joe and Hasbro need to double down and continue to make more G.I. Joe origin movies. The G.I. Joe brand is currently only making money from toys. They need to reinvent themsleves to stay relevant in the media. The G.I. Joe fans are stuck in the past and superhero movie fans want their big CGI third act fight and they are holding this brand back from moving forward with its own identity by downvoting this movie. The G.I. Joe cinematic universe can be different from the comicbook universe - Marvel do that all the time. I want to see a Lady Jaye and Spirit origin movie..Coo coo for CocoScore: 4/5
Completely different origin story from originalGrew up with GI JOE and was a massive fan of Snake Eyes as a kid. The toys, the comic books, the cartoons. Everything.
This movie turned an honorable character with a deep backstory into a conniving dishonest self-serving tool who only ends up doing the "right thing" after he realizes he's been played. Very disappointing. The acting was good for what is a tpyical action movie & the actors aren't to blame for the poor script. And the action scenes were exactly what everyone says: lots of fast movement with no details. This is the GI JOE version of the first Wolverine movie: Hollywood taking a property with an easily adaptable history and completely blowing it..Take ScalpsScore: 2/5
They changed everythingThe origin of snake eyes was given in the second GI Joe movie where he was raised in a temple. It would have been nice if they followed that same origin but they didn’t. DisgustingThis movie was so terrible , no disrespect to those who worked hard on this movie and everything it took to make it , however once you set an origin for snake eyes in the first movie just to completely disregard it years later. It shows no concern for how important this movie could have truly been.
