Fantastic surprise and a great movieAdmittedly I didn’t hate the 2016 reboot as much as most people. It has a charm of its own but I don’t really consider it part of the franchise either. But this one really caught me off guard. I think it’s absolutely fantastic entertainment and does well by the Ghostbusters name, both honoring its past and giving it a bright future. Perfect ending to a trilogy.I was literally tearing up from the beginning and end of the movie. It was a perfect homage to the original cast as well as paying tribute to Harold ramis. Now that Ivan reitman has passed away as well, this film has more significance because this was the last film Ivan was involved in. This film WILL NOT disappoint. RiP Harold and Ivan..Score: 5/5
Good but…Loved the story and the characters and the CGI and sound, but I feel like the writers gave up on the ending. It felt weak, generic, the veteran characters only had about 40 seconds of on screen time out of the whole movie. Ghostbusters 2016 was a much more original story and more enjoyable. This new movie wasn’t bad by any stretch. If it comes up in a discussion, I would definitely watch it again..Score: 4/5

I really wanted to like this.The first two Ghostbusters films are awesome. The first Ghostbusters is an absolute comedy classic that I can never get tired/bored of even after re-watching it repeatedly. There are so many great memorable lines and scenes. The second Ghostbusters movie also has many memorable lines and scenes. They all have charm and originality. Ghostbusters Afterlife is nothing like the first two movies. There's barely any comedy. I can't really remember any scenes that stand out. This movie doesn't stand on its own. It constantly pays tribute to the first movie and keeps referring back to it. The nostalgia just doesn't work. Save yourself the time and money and watch Ghostbusters: The Video Game on YouTube, because that is more Ghostbusters III than this will ever be..Score: 2/5
