Sing 2 Film Synopsis
Buster and his new cast now have their sights set on debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City. But with no connections, he and his singers must sneak into the Crystal Entertainment offices, run by the ruthless wolf mogul Jimmy Crystal, where the gang pitches the ridiculous idea of casting the lion rock legend Clay Calloway in their show. Buster must embark on a quest to find the now-isolated Clay and persuade him to return to the stage.

Its definitely not the original, but fun to watch and forget. Rent - not buy.Movie Sing-2 shares a fate of most sequels - it mimics the original without any novelty. Sequel needs to go deeper than original, this one - did not. Did not do much worse either - so 3 stars.
The "make it or break it" plot line where whole show hinged on bringing in another mysterious character was weakly executed. Authors decided not to risk it and avoided both controversy of love story between young and old rock stars or exploring tragedy of losing a loved one from cancer further to make it inspiring. Separately - Calloway singing voice was completely wrong - another massive lost opportunity.

It just got better and more entertaining...36, but took some time out to watch this in the theatre--cuz it's so friggin' cute! Watching them animals sing, do their dance... all with characters of their own. How could someone not like it, huh? Everything about this movie is just pure fun. Animation is outstanding.
