Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman, striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high‐profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin, Carmine Falcone, and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

This is BatmanThis is the characterization of Batman I’ve been waiting for. A detective in a Gotham beyond saving. This is the cinematic equivalent to long Halloween or Hush. A phenomenal Batman epic where Gotham city feels like it’s own living, breathing character. The ensemble cast brought the world to life with Jeffery Wright deserving special mention. His portrayal of Jim Gordon gives Gary Oldman a run for his money. MehIn my opinion this movie sucked big Tim, as a child of the 1980’s I grew up with the BEST BATMAN movies that there were with Micheal Keaton. This movie he looks like he’s half dead and soulless and not confident or smart at all and he’s also afraid of heights in this one. A real Batman isn’t afraid js. I didn’t really like any of the actors in this film either that doesn’t help I thought they all did a bad job at it. Especially the guy who plays Bruce Wayne. When this came out they said the Lords name was taken in vain 19 times throughout the film, I was surprised to see the that they cut it down to just 3 times which is good. An Escapist’s Thrill RideOne of the best film adaptations of Batman to date. This film manages to cater to the broad sensibilities of Batman as a character across all forms of media. It does what other previous films have failed to execute well. Gotham. Its history, grit and dystopian setting are a key ingredient to what makes Batman and his rogues so interesting and believable.
