This film is brilliantIt’s more than “men bad” or “woke” if that’s the surface level lens you take to things then you’re pathetic. The craft is so spectacular without a single jump scare, the imagery and symbols of the green man/men is really tapping into something primordial and human that we like to ignore. The score is amazing as well, I love how atmospheric it is! And the acting, my god! There is a scene where Jesse Buckley is simply smiling under a tree in the rain and it’s so radiant!
And I love the final act, I know for some it’s too much, but this is the only film this year that did something creatively bold and got me to think about the film long after I’d seen it. Ignore anyone who has nothing but negative thoughts about it, the film is brilliant..Forrest McNeilScore: 5/5
