Blanchett….a basic movie about the truly narcissistic.I know where they were going but didn’t quite get there.The end of the movie was rushed though the masseuse scene was probably the most redeemable part of the last hour which is saying something..Score: 3/5

Cate Blanchett doesn't "play" Lydia Tár, she portrays her, and barely better than some freshman drama student. Virtually all of the supporting roles were played better and more believably. A ball of mental state confusionUmmmmm yeah, where do I begin I definitely did NOT like the beginning it was lagging this movie was a bit confusing was the team trying to fire cate cause she wasn’t stable even though she didn’t act crazy then. However the best part of the movie was when she went Bachy crazy and dived into the floor and started acting nutty🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣I’m sorry I couldn’t help but to laugh , but yet highly embarrassing at the same time And why did she seem strange and puke 🤮 when the woman picked #5? 🤔 So on a scale of 1-10 I’d give this a (3)… I’m glad I decided to rent it in other words I definitely will never own this movie‼️‼️🙄.Score: 2/5

Power DynamicsMeticulous movie about power dynamics in the classical music world, but it could be any place where there are power differentials. There are scenes of guilt and paranoia strewn throughout the movie which can make it difficult and you have to pause to read an important email thread. The movie affirms cancel culture to a certain extent, especially when people are guilty, but it also introduces the possibility that not everyone is a victim, like with a manipulated video of the main character and out of context recording.
