The Earth has stopped rotating because of a change in the planet's core temperature. To restore the normal temperature, astronauts must travel to the center and detonate a nuclear bomb before the core superheats and destroys all life on the surface.
The Core Film Synopsis
Geophysicist Dr. Josh Keyes discovers that an unknown force has caused the earth's inner core to stop rotating. With the planet's magnetic field rapidly deteriorating, our atmosphere literally starts to come apart at the seams with catastrophic consequences. To resolve the crisis, Keyes, along with a team of the world's most gifted scientists, travel into the earth's core. Their mission: detonate a device that will reactivate the core.

LOVE ITThis movie is number 4 in my all time favorite sci-fi movies (only to be surpassed by the matrix films). The storyline is basic and easy to understand. Hastig wird eine Gruppe von Spezialisten zusammengestellt, die, Terranauten genannt, in einem Spezialschiff ins Erdinnere vordringen und mittels einer Nuklearexplosion den Motor von Mutter Erde wieder "anwerfen" sollen.
