This time, Chili finds himself mixing it up in the rough and tumble world of rock stars, pop divas, and hip hop gangstas when a new idea for a movie leads him into the music business. A good but not great movieThis is a good movie. the rock is a good actor with some funny lines that he delivers well. same with andre benjamin (DABU!). lots of great one liners but overall just a fun movie. you can even tell by the actors that they were having fun and didn't take this too seriously. its not that kind of a movie. i mean look at the title! shotty acting occasionally but pretty funny stuff on the whole. a fun movie is you want to see something entertaining. i have seen it several times. and a great dance scene with travolta and uma thurman to te black eyes peas' "sexy".Score: 5/5
The worst movie ive ever seenI dont really know how anyone could possibly like this movie. I usally love stupid movies with pointless jokes, but this wasnt the slight bit funny. all the jokes fell flat and the plot was possibly the dumbest plot i have ever seen. it was completly unrelistic and just plain stupid. i was i could have gotten my $9.50 back becuse every cent of it was wasted on this boring, tasteless, unfunny, ridiculously dumb movie..Score: 1/5

I love it! The Aerosmith scene ROCKS!!!!It is an enjoyable movie. But that's all. It's not a masterpiece of filmmaking. If that's what you want download "Citizen Caine" or a "Clockwork Orange". But if you're looking for a lighthearted funny movie that you would enjoy seeing over and over again this is a good one..Score: 5/5
Huge disappointmentIf the movie had only focused on the dysfunctional relationship between Vaughn’s and Johnson’s characters this could have been an edgy and hilarious comedy, as it is it’s only occasionally funny despite the obvious commitment and enthusiasm of the cast. The direction fails to engage, the writing is lazy and instead of a sly satire it’s painfully guilty of the type of presentation it should be parodying. Worse yet it’s a sequel to one of the best and funniest satires of the entertainment industry ever made. Part of the problem is that great films are often timeless but pop music is dated within months so romanticizing it seems juvenile and the end product is tacky and schmultzy. As a stand-alone movie it’s fitfully amusing and forgettable. As a sequel to a modern classic it’s an insulting abomination that sullies its predecessor..Score: 2/5

LOVE THIS MOVIEErrday, all day. Vince Vaughn, Cedric, John Travolta, MY WHOLE FAMILY loves this movie. Can't get enough of Cedric's monologue --- oh yeah the best part is that The Rock was NOT believable as gay. And, the sound track. I listen ALLLLL THE TIME. It's a shameLove the GET SHORTY, but I don't know about this one. Despite the greatest casting possible for the sequel, the lay out of the whole sequence was such a shame. However, it is worth watching since the cameo appearances are the sickest of all. It was unbelievable how a crappy movie can pull in all the greatest musicians and actors to act in it. Hey, Mr. director and producer. You got Aerosmith, Wyclef Jean, Andre 3000, Sergio Mendes, B.E.P. On top of that, you even got John Travolta and Uma Thurman to dance together ever since pulp fiction to get a crappy sequel story get across? Give me a break. This is a shame but worth watching. I know it sounds weird but you gotta see all the crazy cameos they put out. Watch it, and after watching it, prepare to wash your mouth with soap. You will know why..Score: 3/5
Bad movie. Definitely rent before buying it.Believe me, I'm a huge supporter of the movie of the week deal (99 cents to rent a movie is a SWEET deal). And The Usual Suspects was an awesome choice as the first movie of the week. But I didn't really enjoy Be Cool. It has a great cast of characters, but some of the actors are miscast (The Rock, Vince Vaughn, etc.), and their acting in parts of the movie is awkward or terrible because of that. The script/dialogue wasn't very well written. The racism offended me. There was no chemistry between Travolta and Uma Therman. It was boring. The only parts of the movie that I remember liking were when Christina Milian sang, she has a beautiful voice. If you're interested in Be Cool, I recommend renting the movie first, especially now while it's still 99 cents. But I doubt many people will enjoy the movie anymore than I did..Score: 2/5

Great movie, especially for a buck.I watched this movie in theaters, and I loved it. I haven't seen it since then, but when I saw it on AppleTV for a buck rental, I thought 'Why the hell not?' It's a fantastic movie. The only fault with it is that it stars a Scientologist as the lead actor... maybe that's why people are giving it such bad reviews? Scientology is a cult..Score: 5/5
