WORST. MOVIE. Truly a beautiful love story...This movie is so moving. The fight scenes, the scenery, the special effects, the dialogue and the acting allow you to understand each character and their motives, flaws and desires. Great movie, but not good for the IpodDon't get me wrong, this is an absolutely amazing movie, but there is no way it would ever work on your ipod. Every time I watch this, it's in chinese with english subs, but on the 2 inch screen of an Ipod, subtitles would be really frustrating to try to read the whole movie. As it stands, the audio in the Itunes version is in english. English voicing sounds incredibly bad, and blatantly british at some points. If you can overlook the audio, It's an absolutely superb movie, but if you're bothered by that sort of stuff, I would spare myself the frustration..RhodsScore: 3/5

What?That's what I kept saying to myself as I watched this thing when it came out. "What's the big deal with this?" Uh, these people can fly. Right... In Peter Pan, the people can fly- heck, they even got a big shaggy dog airborn. Plus, there was sword fighting, so why aren't people soiling themselves over that one?? I'm all for Suspension of Disbeief, but this is just another marshal arts flick where the bad guys wait politely to come at the hero one at a time. This is one of Ang Lee's best!Ang Lee (Director of ''Sence and Sensibiltyy'') also directs this martial arts action/romance with an all star cast of Chow Yun-Fat, Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Ziyi. One of the best movies of all time!ITunes really got it right with this version. Unlike another reviewer here I prefer the subtitled version and find the English subtitled version very laughable and lame. The problem is that the characters speak with English accents like they're from England! There's a point in the movie where someone says; "What the devil!" I couldn't stop laughing. It ruins the original story and authenticity of the whole experience. This is a beautiful martial arts movie done right where it's easy to loose yourself in the movie and it doesn't feel silly when you see the characters majestically gliding over the tree tops in a scene because your suspension of disbelief is so complete. The action scenes are so masterfully choreographed it's like a perfect dance or ballet between the characters and although there is plenty of action, there's no gratuitous violence such as blood spurting or people getting their limbs cut off. The action is tastefully done. This is not just a Kung Fu or martial arts movie it's actually a great movie that happens to have martial arts in it and what makes it so good is the story, acting and original score that's absolutely mesmerizing. Are you serious???Sure this movie’s plot is good but that’s about it. The fighting is laughable and the weapon handling is interesting for all of two minutes. I believe a better title would be “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Wires”. Every movie has to use some effects but these are just stupid. I am positive that if this movie had more skilled fighters, dedicated actors and a new director it could be a great movie. One of the greatest movies? Not even in the top fifty, that sounds about right. I am not talking out of no experience either; I enjoy plenty of martial arts films with plenty of actors from all types of years. This film is probably number three on my top five worst. This is a rent at best. Basically one person said it was good now everybody says it is just because they have no idea what a good martial arts movie takes and they won’t take time to find out. If you think for yourself and really analyze this movie you will find it sub-par and boring..Blueice08Score: 2/5
