Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable...and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City...and maybe the world. But he is not alone. He is surrounded by "the Infected" - victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path. For three years, Neville has spent his days scavenging for food and supplies and faithfully sending out radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. All the while, the Infected lurk in the shadows, watching Neville's every move, waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But his blood is also what The Infected hunt, and Neville knows he is outnumbered and quickly running out of time.

Only one problemIt’s exactly what the title says. The whole movie was good, EXCEPT……… when you fricken killed the dog!😡😡😡 I know it was part of the story but I am a animal lover and I can’t let this go unsaid. Great! But please read this....This is a wonderfully made movie! I loved it! But, I noticed that a lot of people were saying that the Dark Seekers are vampires or zombies. WRONG!!! They are neither! They are humans that were mutilated when the cancer vaccine went entirely wrong. The biting: they were hungry, and they feed on anything with flesh that they can find. But it is a great movie! And, iTunes says that it's a horror: no no no. It's a PG-13 movie. The case AND the movie itself says so. Okay, I think that's all....wait! One more thing: WATCH IT!!! :).ThorLoki21Score: 4/5

To me, the plot made little sense either because they didn’t make it clear or because I was half paying attention after the death of the dog. Decent movieIt all comes down to which alternate ending you prefer. It really makes or breaks the storyline. The same goes for Butterfly Effect, another movie I encourage people to rent or buy. The special effects are great, Will Smith is superb as the tortured Robert Neville. The movie loses two stars from me because of Samantha. No spoiler..BuffytheslayrScore: 3/5

Not bad, but the book was still betterConsidering it's a big-budget Hollywood movie, it's not surprising they couldn't follow the book too closely...might not have made as exciting a movie. However, it's still kind of a shame, since the book was so well written, and would have made a great vampire movie. It's a good movie anyway, though, and I liked it for its own storyline. I would suggest the alternate ending.Not bad. Will Smith does well for him being really the only actor in the movie. I find these movies too dark usually and left with very little once the movie is over. That being said, I would suggest for someone wanting a different (and in my opinion better) ending, I would highly suggest to watch the Alternate Ending instead.
