Lars is completely content with his artificial girlfriend, but when he develops feelings for Margo, an attractive co-worker, Lars finds himself lost in a hilariously unique love triangle, hoping to somehow discover the real meaning of true love. Offbeat and endearing, this romantic comedy takes a fresh look at dating and relationships and dares to ask the question: What's so wrong with being happy?

Extremely shy Lars finds it impossible to make friends or socialize. His brother and sister-in-law worry about him, so when he announces that he has a girlfriend he met on the Internet, they are overjoyed. But Lars' new lady is a life-size plastic woman. Best comedy ever!I love this movie! It will make you laugh and cry and laugh some more. It was something we just picked up cause there wasn't anything else good but it has become q favorite. It's kinda a dark comedy, but I'm tellingnyou, I don't have much of a sense of humor when it comes tonfunny movies (I'm always the one sitting there which everyone is laughing their heads off to stupid movies) but this movie had me laughing so hard I was in tears! Not the typical romantic comedyI didn't know what to expect from this movie, interested in watching it because I've grown to become a big fan of Ryan Gosling's talent as an actor. His portrayal of a quirky, introverted yet sweet guy definitely was a realistic representation of the nice guy next door that I'm more drawn to. A complex character with so much beneath his shy exterior is easy to relate to and makes you want to empathize with him for something as incredulous as falling in love with a doll, until you realize that he's doing what makes him happy on his own terms. The writing of Lars' journey unravels slowly yet does not leave you with any predictable turn of events, until his happy ending. One man's innocent struggle also is a pleasantly unexpected rendition of how the kind of love of a small town and people around him can help revive those who are lost. Fortunately the script is not made to be full of jokes, overly artistic/abstract ideas or clever witticisms common to the "mainstream" indie flick, but really rests completely at the hands of the simple emotional acting and emotions felt by all the characters in the film..EmmiewScore: 5/5

Based on a true story, sports agent JB Bernstein (Jon Hamm) finds that business has changed and things aren’t going well for his career. Hoping to sign them to major league contracts and make a quick buck, JB brings the boys home to America to train. While the Americans are definitely out of their element in India — the boys, who have never left their rural villages — are equally challenged when they come to the States. As the boys learn the finer points of baseball — JB, with the help of his charming friend Brenda (Lake Bell) — learns valuable life lessons about teamwork, commitment and what it means to be a family.
