Engaging and ThoughtfulThis movie has a lot to offer. Foster's character has manage to keep her child-like wonder of the universe throughout her adulthood. Listening to radio telescopes, she finds a signal that just may be our big chance at contact with an alien race. There are twists and turns, questions of conscience and ethics, and the expected craziness from UFO nerds and religious zealots alike. Among the best sci-fi ever!I have to admit, I haven't read Sagan's book. However, the ideas behind this movie are very faithful to what Carl Sagan is famous for.
