A chronicle of the life of infamous classical composer Ludwig van Beethoven and his painful struggle with hearing loss. Following Beethoven's death in 1827, his assistant, Schindler, searches for an elusive woman referred to in the composer's love letters as "immortal beloved." As Schindler solves the mystery, a series of flashbacks reveal Beethoven's transformation from passionate young man to troubled musical genius.

Stupid Title for a Great MovieAn insight into Ludwig Van and how he was disliked or thought crazy by others when he was only deaf. Trying to hide his deafness from his many enimies whom would have finished him as a composer. Also a hint of abuse by his father who tried to present him as a boy genius like Mozart by faking his age. All is forgiven when he presents the 9th and his genius is recognized. The main them is the love affair he was unable to reconcile and the illegitimate son that results and his horrible failure at trying to pass his genius along to him.Score: 3/5
