Meanwhile, she must constantly rebuff the affections of nerdy Ted, who is unfortunately the only boy in school who seems to take an interest in her.

John Hughes was Brilliant!!John Hughes was a perfect Director and Writer. He actually picks actors that were the age of their character in the films. Not what you're looking forLet me just start off my saying I LOVE Molly Ringwald. And Molly Ringwald with John Huges. Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club? Those were brilliant. I thought I'd give this movie a chance, hoping it would be as good as the other ones, or at least comparable. Ha ha. Wrong indeed. I was very disappointed by this movie. I am not a 'teen movie' fan. The hackneyed high school setting bores me. But I thought this would be different. It was not. The humor was DESPERATE, the plot-line was out-of-whack, and the whole movie felt like watching a 12 year old's fantasy. Could the ending be any more cliche? "Make a wish!" "That's alright, I already got what I wanted, tee hee!". That conversation fragment sums up the entire film. If you are a John Huges/Molly Ringwald fan, this poor film is unrecognizable..Score: 2/5
