Gives a whole new perspective on what may be considered a "drug"Requiem for a Dream not only shows the consequences of using drugs in the sense that most people identify with, but also the consequences of using drugs that most people wouldn't even consider. Crack, self-image, sex, money– people can become addicted to any of these, and the outcome isn't so pretty. This is by far one of the best films I have ever seen. Raw and Uncut - A Brilliant FilmThis movie for starters is not for the faint of heart.
I was glad to see the true and uncut version of the film, as the director intended, here rather than the dilluted rated R version.
It has masterful acting and shows a cold hard look into a well crafted downward spiral.

Requiem for a DreamThis movie is simultaneously repulsive and intriguing. The director Darren Aronofsky uses intense visuals such as extreme closeups and quick cuts to show the drugs taking effect and how quickly they wear off. The characters are all extremely well developed and acted by especially by Marlon Wayans. However the sexual content borders on extreme. Overall a well directed well made film all around. Be sure to check out Aronofsky's other films such as Pi and The Wrestler..Andrew MeyerScore: 4/5

REQUIEM FOR MY DREAMI've seen a lot of emotional movies, but nothing I have ever seen before could top this movie on an emotional level. It really made me think about how dangerous drugs really are, and how they will destroy your whole life in a very short amount of time. The last 20 minutes of this movie is crazy unbelievable, anyone would be in complete awe. I don't recommend this to anyone to emotional though, because it is a terribly sad, sad movie. An absolute classic though. The acting with great, the way it was filmed was even better....praise to Actors & Mr. Darren Aronofsky..Indiefilm3000Score: 5/5

Fetal PositionAt the very end each and every charachter is in the fetal position. As a person who has been through addiction and lost many friends before the age of 35, it is a great depiction of the desperation people go through.
