A prominent banker unjustly convicted of murder spends many years in the Shawshank prison. He is befriended by a convict who knows the ropes and helps him to cope with the frightning realities of prison life.

Framed in the 1940s for the double murder of his wife and her lover, upstanding banker Andy Dufresne begins a new life at the Shawshank prison, where he puts his accounting skills to work for an amoral warden. During his long stretch in prison, Dufresne comes to be admired by the other inmates -- including an older prisoner named Red -- for his integrity and unquenchable sense of hope.

The Greatest of All TimeAs the title suggests I feel this is the greatest movie to have ever been written. Amazing cast, riveting story line, and due justice. A true tale of camaraderie and hope with an ending that gives the audience satisfaction of all the injustices done in the movie and the corruption of society today. This is Magic.When all the elements come together along with some luck you get something special. In film making, it can be magical. This film is one of those rare pictures that captures you and does not let go to the last frame. It is a true gem and quite frankly if you don't like this movie, for its idea of hope overcoming all and the notion of true redemption and that all happens for a reason. If you do not enjoy these universal truths in this film put together in a masterful way, well then please watch it again until you get it. The best work that has ever made it to the screen from a Stephen King concept and oddly it is not a horror film. It is a film about life and the horrors and joys that exist within life. I have seen so many movies in my life and this always stands out as a truce classic and the build to the climatic ending is one of the best endings ever filmed.
