Psycho is.....One of the best movies ever made! But let's be clear about one thing: it is NOT a HORROR movie! Psycho is a psychological thriller, pure and simple. Yes, Norman Bates is a psycho and maybe he's horrific, but this still should not be classified as a horror movie. Psycho should be seen from beginning to end,and if network television shows it, it should be shown with no commercial interruptions. It would be spoiled that way. The last ten-fifteen minutes of this film are some of the best surprises ever, as is the moment that happens approximately 30 minutes in. If you're a fan of the film, you know exactly what scene I'm talking about, but I am not a fan of spoilers so I won't go into more detail. SEE THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!!!.Score: 5/5

The story, acting, directing, lighting and all around cinematography is outstanding. One of the best american movies ever directed.Alfred Hitchcock is a god. Psycho is his #1 masterpiece. This movie introduced style of slasher movies. The ending is twisted, the shower scene even more twisted and the whole plot is incredible and you can't get a better movie than this. You should watch this if you like movies with no flaws in it, totally perfectly directed and perfec musically, in the story, the directing and the style of the movie, but if you like movies made today with only special effects and no story, no good film-making and made only for money, reconsider.
