Bob Crane (Kinnear) became well known as the star of the hit comedy series "Hogan's Heroes." With an abundance of fame, wealth and success, Crane dove headfirst into the darker, destructive side of the celebrity lifestyle. He eventually teamed up with a video technician (Dafoe) who helped him to systematically document his copious sexploits with beautiful young women. But when the fast living and hard loving got out of control, the end result was a brutal murder that remains one of the most scandalous unsolved mysteries in Hollywood history.
A successful TV star during the 1960s, former "Hogan's Heroes" actor Bob Crane projects a wholesome family-man image, but this front masks his persona as a sex addict who records and photographs his many encounters with women, often with the help of his seedy friend, John Henry Carpenter. This biographical drama reveals how Crane's double life takes its toll on him and his family, and ultimately contributes to his death.

Fascinating Story of Destructive TV StarExcellently-acted story of how seemingly great guy Bob Crane’s life fell apart. I thought this movie eerily showed how this charismatic, likable star’s daily routine of sex with a stream of beautiful women became an ugly, repulsive trap, ending in a good person slowly turning into a misogynistic creep, and finally murdered..Score: 4/5

Ol yellerThis was a very good movie I would recommend it to anyone. I grew up watching hogans heroes and I never knew what a twisted life this guy lead. He starts out like Ward Cleaver and ends up like Larry Flint.. Pretty cool!! He and his buddy Carpenter are totall co dependents and need each other to cary on their creepy lifestyle...Score: 5/5
