The Great ZigfieldTop Notch Biography from Irving Berlin about the life of the man who forever changed Broadway stage from it's rather unglamorous "Burlesque" and seedy side-show vaudeville roots and; through his obsessive need to idolize 'the fairer sex' made 'the stage' a respectable calling. Many early starlets of the silent screen were his ingenue. Hollywood only realized what a debt it owed him posthumously; but when they did get around to honouring him, they pulled out all the stops. A fine film, excellently told. ... Unfortunately, ITunes release has cut most of the second act out of this version of the film... Removing such great acts as " Shine On Harvest Moon" and Fanny Brice's "Yiddle With Your Fiddle (Play Some Ragtime!). Seriously ruining the film..Score: 2/5
