Charles, we agree on the NRA, but not Soylent Green/////Start Charleton Heston's Logic Premise 1: In the future food is scarce. Premise 2: Companies are evil. Premise 3: In the year 2022, Soylent will partner with mortuaries to process dead bodies into tasteless crackers. Conclusion: In order to expand their business, Soylent will breed people to make more tasteless crackers. /////End Charleton Heston's Logic Really? Wow. Soylent is going to feed breed people? They are going to feed a person thousands of pounds of food, house them, and guard them, so that one day they can slaughter them, harvest the 150 pounds of meat, only to convert that into 150 pounds of tasteless crackers? How does that make them money? I can understand feeding a cow crappy grass for 5 years, butchering it, and selling it to me at a profit so I can BBQ it and enjoy a nice steak. If in the year 2022, food is that scarec, then all Soylent has done is provide a public service. Will get rid of the dead bodies to prevent unsanitary conditions, then we will provide you food so you odn't join the dead. Where is the harm in this? It's not like Soylent is driving around town picking up grandma and throwing her in the crockpot. C'mon Charles, back off of Soylent..Score: 3/5

Interesting to see . . .When i saw this flick as a kid, the thought of society being in such a hole this bad seemed so far fetched and beyond reality that it made the movie great science fiction (didn't know this was a Harry Harrison book. now need to read it!). Now that we are closer to 2022, the story hits a bit closer to home and really is a foil to such Utopian societies as in 'Star Trek' and, to some extent, 'Star Wars'. Heston was a great actor and it's interesting to see a different side of Edward G. Robinson as well. And there is the now famous "Soylent Green is Peeeeeople!".Score: 5/5
