Houston, we have a very big problem! In the mid-21st century, the nations of a dying Earth look starward for a solution and set out to colonize Mars. But something no one could have expected awaits this latest mission to the Red Planet. Because Mars may be barren but it's not uninhabited.

Astronauts search for solutions to save a dying Earth by searching on Mars, only to have the mission go terribly awry.

Fantastic SciFiYet another bad rating from Rotten Tomatoes. I totally love this movie. I watch it EVERY time it's on TV and finally decided to splurge and buy it here on iTunes. All of the characters are impressively well concieved and the acting itself is especially first rate. Even though its set in the near future all of the technology shown with the possible exception of AMEE is very believable. Great special effects and imaginative.Although some have reviewed this through rotten tomatoes as dull and so on, I found this movie to be quite the contrary. The special effects were terrific, the cast was well thought out and it was fun to watch. I would love to see this in an HD format eventually but might have to wait a while.. Laugh out loud lousyIf you can make it through the opening credits without laughing, your more forgiving then I am. Cringe worthy narration and dialogue, rote set up and awful acting. Worth seeing just for a who’s who of up and coming actors of the time right before they imploded. I liked how mission control was in Houston so they could use classic lines like "Houston we have a problem."
