George Bailey has so many problems he is thinking about ending it all – and it’s Christmas! As the angels discuss George, we see his life in flashback. As George is about to jump from a bridge, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence then shows George what his town would have looked like if it hadn’t been for all of his good deeds over the years. Will Clarence be able to convince George to return to his family and forget suicide?
It's a wonderful laugh! It's a wonderful love!. A holiday favourite for generations... George Bailey has spent his entire life giving to the people of Bedford Falls. All that prevents rich skinflint Mr. Potter from taking over the entire town is George's modest building and loan company. But on Christmas Eve the business's $8,000 is lost and George's troubles begin.. It's a Wonderful Life Wiki
Nothing else shot on celluloid has captured the spirit of Christmas like this film. Our world is better off thanks to Frank Capra and Jimmy Stewart.
Please release the color version of this movie.
Great film, love the new 4K restoration, very crisp and clean picture. I wish they would one day give that treatment to the color version.
This is a timeless classic showing a real Christmas miracle when all looks lost. It’s amazing through this classic how many lives our own lives touch. Imagine if you were never born how different the world would be.
I swear to everyone this movie may be old but it has to be the greatest Christmas movies of all time. So worth the $10 price if not more!
A sort of strange but “wonderful” blend of Hallmark and “The Twilight Zone”, this perennial classic simply never gets old.
I would like to see iTunes also offer this movie in the color version as well. Being an 80's kid, thats how I remember the movie when it came in TV.
This is a great, fun, inspiring, wonderful, terrific movie. I love this movie a lot. I like how Clarence the angel saves Geroge life and shows him what life would be without him. But then Geroge loves his life and appreciates it. That is a great par. It is a great holiday christmas movie and it is one of my all time favorite movies ever.
Fabulous movie. Love it! I like the colorized version. Where's the HD download for that? ...and I'm not talking about the lame iTunes Extras online stream.
This movie was made 2 decades before I was even born. My parents were kids. It is a classic we watch every Christmas. With all the ill will in the world this movie grounds my wife and I and keeps us feeling humble about mankind and that there is hope for all of us. This movie is worth buying or at the very least, renting. Enjoy it.
Amazing movie I watch it every year for Christmas and love the black and whites it adds more feeling. Watching the movie just the way it was meant to be watched.
This is an excellent movie but I'm a little disappointed that this is the black and white version, when will iTunes put up the remastered colour version?
Excellent movie and a must watch. Note that this movie is the black & white version and not the remastered colour version
This movie has got it all when it comes to traditional values. From the American dream to values of Love and Compassion. It is also very apropos for our times and shows the great illusion and fallacy behind our monetary system. True wealth comes from people cooperating together to live an agreement that is FOR the people. Not FOR the almighty dollar.
Perhaps you guys at iTunes should watch this great movie! Then you might not be so greedy like one of the characters in the movie! Here's a challenge to you at ITunes.... Make it a 99 cent movie for the weeks leading up to Christmas and start spreading the joy! Come on, how about that!
So--iTunes! Is this suppose to be a free movie? It is such a good movie and WORTH seeing but if you're charging us for something that should be free you need to get back to basic good manners...
Brilliant and wonderful movie, but honestly it's in the public domain???? and so shouldn't cost more then a couple of dollars???
This is a PD (Public Domain) movie that has no royalties, and you're charging $17.99 for it? Shame on you.
James + Frank Capra = Mr. Smith Goes to Washington & You Can't Take it With You. This one? All above is enough said.
This is one if those great movies that everyone must see, a theme that is just as relavent today as it was then. Totaly recommended.
